The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games.

Fifth-ranked Krasnie Krilya (7-9) gave a tough game to first ranked CSKA Moscow (15-2) in Samara on Sunday. The visitors from Moscow managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. CSKA Moscow outrebounded Krasnie Krilya 40-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Krasnie Krilya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Sasha Kaun (211-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) who added 6 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CSKA Moscow have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-2 record. Krasnie Krilya lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Unics and Triumph. CSKA Moscow are looking forward to face league's second-placed Khimky in Khimki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Krasnie Krilya will play on the road against Triumph Lyubertsy in Lubertsy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Lokomotiv (9-8) against fourth ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (9-8) on Sunday night. Host Lokomotiv was defeated by Spartak St.Petersburg in Kuban 71-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Lokomotiv. The winners were led by the former international forward Fedor Dmitriev (203-84, agency: Alti Sport) who scored that evening 13 points and Josh Carter supported him with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 12 points, 9 assists and 4 steals by American-Greek point guard Nick Calathes (198-89, college: Florida) did not help to save the game for Lokomotiv. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak St.Petersburg moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Lokomotiv. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
10th ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk (2-13) was outscored at home by second ranked Khimky (12-4) with the biggest margin this round 90-68 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Enisey Krasnoyarsk. The best player for the winners was Kresimir Loncar who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Davon Jefferson who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimky have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader CSKA. Enisey Krasnoyarsk at the other side stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Khimky will meet league's leader CSKA Moscow on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 24 Khimky won against Spartak-Prim. on the opponent's court 74-68.
