The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games.

Fifth-ranked Krasnie Krilya (7-9) gave a tough game to first ranked CSKA Moscow (15-2) in Samara on Sunday. The visitors from Moscow managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. CSKA Moscow outrebounded Krasnie Krilya 40-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Krasnie Krilya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Sasha Kaun (211-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) who added 6 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CSKA Moscow have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-2 record. Krasnie Krilya lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Unics and Triumph. CSKA Moscow are looking forward to face league's second-placed Khimky in Khimki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
