We bring you last week's top performances from Russians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international center Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya (198-77, currently plays in Turkey). She led Mersin to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Canik Bld (9-16) crushing them 87-61 in the Turkish TKBL in Saturday night's game. Zakalyuzhnaya recorded 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. Mersin BSH Bld (20-5) is placed second in the TKBL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Zakalyuzhnaya averages: 7.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 2FGP: 55.7%(39-70) and FT: 75.0% in the 12 games she played so far. She played for the Russian senior national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U21 international power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86, currently plays in Finland). She was the major contributor in a Catz Lappeenranta's victory against the closely-ranked Peli-Karhut (25-5) crushing them 81-59 in the Finnish SM-sarja on Saturday night. Reshetko had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 16 rebounds. She also added 3 assists and 3 steals in 25 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Catz Lappeenranta (28-2) is placed first in the SM-sarja. It was her team's 16th consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Reshetko's eighth season with the team. Reshetko has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 16.9ppg, 9.9rpg, 2.0apg, 1.2bpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 62.4%(189-303) and FT: 77.9% in the 29 games. Reshetko played for the Russian U21 national team in 2007.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international guard Valeriya Musina (183-87, college: Lee, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Poland. She could not help CCC Polkowice (1-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Musina's good performance the third-placed CCC Polkowice was defeated 66-54 on the road by the second-ranked Good Angels in the group A of Euroleague. She was the second best scorer with 10 points. Musina's overall stats this season are: 7.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 24.1%, 3FGP: 27.9% and FT: 59.5%. She played for the Russian U20 national team six years ago.

   #4. Center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey) led Istanbul Universitesi to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Canik Bld (9-16) crushing them 91-63 in the Turkish TKBL last Saturday. Osipova scored 14 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 28 minutes. Istanbul Universitesi SK (15-10) is placed sixth in the TKBL. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. It's Osipova's first season with the team. Osipova is currently fifth on the list of best blockers with 0.8bpg. This year she also averages: 11.1ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg in the 24 games. Osipova is also Russian national team player.

U20 international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Romania) was not able to help CSM Targoviste (24-2) in their game against Sf.Gheorghe (20-6) in the Romanian Liga Nationala. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Tikhonenko scored only 2 points in 19 minutes. CSM Targoviste lost 64-79 in Sfantu Gheorghe to the lower-ranked (#4) Sf.Gheorghe. They ended the series of eighteen consecutive victories. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. This year Tikhonenko's overall stats are: 7.3ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.4apg in the 24 games. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan. Tikhonenko plays currently for the Russian U20 national team.

   #6. Guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Baltic League) led her Belarusian team Tsmoki-Minsk to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Berezina-RCOR (0-5) 66-48 in the Baltic League in Tuesday night's game. Panevina recorded 11 points. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (5-0) is placed first in group A. So far her team won all five games in the Second Stage. They will play only one more game in the Baltic League Second Stage. Panevina's total stats this season are: 6.6ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.5apg. She is a former U20 international player as she played for the Russian team two years ago.

   #7. Former U20 international forward Anastasiya Kolotilschikova (182-90, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to secure a victory for Sozh Gomel (18-7) in their game against Olimpia GrGAU (16-2) in the Belarusian Premier League. Kolotilschikova recorded 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Sozh Gomel (#2) was crushed 85-54 in Grodno by the leading Olimpia GrGAU in the Group A. It was Sozh Gomel's first loss after three consecutive victories. Kolotilschikova's total stats this season are: 5.0ppg and 3.1rpg. She used to play for the Russian U20 national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL could not help Neftochimic (20-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Sokolan's very good performance the league leader Neftochimic was defeated 93-89 on the road by the second-ranked Dunav 8806. She was the second best scorer with 19 points. Sokolan also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Sokolan's seventh season with the team. She has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.2apg. Sokolan has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #2. Ekaterina Abramzon (185-F-87, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the 13th-ranked Cluj Napoca (4-22) crushing them 79-47 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Friday night. She scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. CSU Alba Iulia (18-8) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. Abramzon's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Abramzon's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.4spg. She is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Israeli.

   #3. Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Belarus) led Olimpia GrGAU to an easy victory against the second-ranked Sozh Gomel (18-7) crushing them 85-54 in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. Alyoshkina had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 13 rebounds in 32 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. SBK Olimpia Grodno (16-2) is placed first. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Alyoshkina is ranked first on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 11.0rpg. She also averaged so far 12.0ppg and 1.2apg in the 18 games she played so far. Alyoshkina has both Russian and Ukrainian nationalities.

   #4. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lyubov Alyoshkina and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Shapochkina contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Sozh Gomel (18-7) crushing them 85-54. She recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Shapochkina also added 4 assists and 4 steals. Shapochkina is currently ninth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (fifth place). She has very reliable stats this season: 13.1ppg, 5.6rpg, 2.2apg and 3.1spg. Shapochkina also holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #5. Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89, currently plays in Belarus) was the major contributor in Gorizont's victory against the second-ranked Victoria-UOR (7-11) 71-57 in the Belarusian Premier League on Saturday night. She had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. BK Gorizont Minsk (12-6) is placed third. Khomenchuk belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #2 with 9.8rpg. This year her other stats are: 10.6ppg, 1.4apg and 1.3spg in the 19 games. Similarly like Shapochkina and Alyoshkina above Khomenchuk has Russian and Ukrainian nationalities.

   #6. Experienced Olga Fedorova (189-C-78, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) was not able to help Arxil Pontevedra (2-17) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance Arxil Pontevedra (#11) was defeated 59-55 in Vigo by the higher-ranked Real Celta (#5) in the Group A. Fedorova recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 3 assists. Fedorova is currently fifth on the league's list of best blockers. She has individually a very good season with high stats. Fedorova averages: 15.5ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.4apg and 1.9spg.

   #7. Elena Vishnyakova (191-F-78, college: G.Washington, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Laveyron in their game against Angers in the French LF2 (12th division). She scored 7 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Her team was crushed by 22 points 65-43. Vishnyakova is currently second on the list of best rebounders. She has very reliable stats this season: 12.6ppg, 10.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.6spg. Vishnyakova has Russian and French nationalities.

   #8. Ludmila Tymkova (190-C-89, currently plays in Ukraine) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams BK Frankivsk-Halichina in their game against Interkhim in the Ukrainian Higher League (12th division), despite her very good performance in Saturday night's game. She scored 15 points, had 9 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 36 minutes. But her team lost 57-66. Tymkova is currently third on the league's list of best blockers with 1.1bpg. She also averaged so far 8.6ppg and 6.0rpg in the 28 games.

   #9. Zhanna Horodetskaya (180-G-79, currently plays in Belarus) led Tsmoki-Minsk to a victory against the third-ranked Gorizont 65-60 in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League last Saturday. Horodetskaya recorded 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Her total stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1apg. Horodetskaya holds both Russian and Belarusian passports.

   #10. Irina Mihailova (191-F-81, currently plays in Sweden) couldn't help Northland in their game against Solna Vikings in the Swedish Damligan. She scored 5 points in 17 minutes. Her team was badly defeated by 16 points 70-54. This year Mihailova's total stats are: 6.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg in the 12 games. She has Moldovan and Russian nationalities.

Dynamo-Farm - Neftyanik 79-45 Dynamo-Farm celebrated Superleague 1 title. They outgunned visiting Neftyanik to complete the sweep of the championship series. Dynamo-Farm made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 28 Neftyanik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists.
