The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ryazan won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ural Ekaterinburg made 32-of-38 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game, while Ryazan only scored thirteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Ryazan 37-25 including 27 on the offensive glass. Ryazan was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Dmitri Nikolaev (200-83) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American power forward Aaron McGhee (203-79, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Ural Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. Guard Aleksei Vzdykhalkin (190-85, agency: Interperformances) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Artem Isakov (192-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for Ryazan in the defeat. Ryazan's coach Zoran Cvetanovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to AltajBasket's 16. Universitet-Yugra forced 24 AltajBasket turnovers. Lithuanian point guard Linas Lekavicius (186-84, college: American) nailed 12 points and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Denis Hloponin (206-81) accounted for 14 points. Guard Sergey Chernov (187-86) came up with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Vasiliy Gladyshev (188-83) added 8 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for AltajBasket in the defeat.
