Here is the weekly review of the top performing Serbian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83, currently plays in Romania). Pesovic led Timisoara to a victory over the ninth-ranked Brasov (11-16) 94-85 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday. She was MVP of the game. Pesovic scored 37 points (!!!) and grabbed 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). BCM Bega Danzio Timisoara (19-9) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Pesovic belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #7. She has individually a very good season with high stats. Pesovic averages: 16.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.7apg, 2.4spg, 2FGP: 58.6%(130-222), 3FGP: 29.5% and FT: 79.2%. She played for the Serbian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Milica Ivanovic (175-88, agency: Interperformances, college: Catawba, currently plays in Romania). Ivanovic was the main contributor in Sf.Gheorghe's victory against the closely-ranked CSM Targoviste (24-2) 79-64 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night. She was the best player in that game. Ivanovic scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 34 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only her second season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BC Sepsi SIC Sfantu Gheorghe (20-6) is placed fourth in the Liga Nationala. Ivanovic's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Ivanovic is ranked ninth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 15.5ppg. This year her other stats are: 3.2rpg, 2.0apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 48.9%, 3FGP: 44.4% and FT: 73.2% in the 26 games she played so far. Ivanovic is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was former University international center Dara Kovacevic (197-83, currently plays in Romania). She contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Rapid (6-21) 87-70 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Friday night's game. Kovacevic was the top player that evening. She scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. CSM Satu Mare (21-5) is placed third in the Liga Nationala. Kovacevic's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Kovacevic's overall stats this season are: 7.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 2FGP: 52.2%. She played for the Serbian university national team six years ago.

   #4. Forward Sonja Petrovic (189-89, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a Spartak Vidnoye's victory against the closely-ranked Familia Schio (0-3) 88-79 in the Euroleague last Monday. Petrovic recorded 7 points in 18 minutes. Spartak Vidnoe Moscow Region (1-2) is placed third in group B. This year Petrovic's overall stats are: 5.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.5apg and 1.1spg in the 15 games. She used to play for the Serbian national team back in 2011.

   #5. Former international guard Sanja Orozovic (183-90, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian SKL could not help Athlete Celje (20-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Orozovic's good performance the first-placed Athlete Celje was defeated 68-53 on the road by the second-ranked Triglav in the Places 1-6 group. She was the top scorer with 12 points. Orozovic also added 8 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be important. Orozovic belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #6. This season she has very high stats. Orozovic averages: 15.6ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.4apg and 2.1spg. She used to play for the Serbian national team two years ago.

An experienced forward Ines Ajanovic (195-80, currently plays in Latvia) was the major contributor in Cesis' victory against the sixth-ranked KK Tallinna Ulikool (11-11) crushing them 91-66 in the Latvian LSBL in Saturday night's game. Ajanovic recorded 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 31 minutes. SK Cesis (22-0) is placed first in the LSBL. So far her team won all twenty two games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended. Ajanovic has very impressive stats this year: 21.3ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.3apg and 2.3spg in the three games. She is a former international player as she played for the Serbian senior team four years ago.

Former international guard Miljana Bojovic (181-87, currently plays in Euroleague) helped her Hungarian team Good Angels win their game against the fourth-ranked Galatasaray (0-3) 71-65 in the Euroleague on Monday night. Bojovic recorded 9 points and added 6 assists in 33 minutes. Good Angels Kosice (2-1) is placed second in group A. Bojovic is currently third on the league's list of best passers and also on the list of most steals (third place). This year her total stats are: 6.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 5.5apg and 2.4spg in the 19 games. Bojovic used to play for the Serbian national team four years ago.

Center Ana Radovic (190-90, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Lithuania) helped Fortuna win their game against the league outsider Jaunieji Talentai (1-27) 70-61 in the Lithuanian LMKL in Friday night's game. She recorded 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Fortuna Klaipeda (19-9) is placed third in the LMKL. Radovic's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Radovic has averaged so far 6.7ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.7apg. She used to play for the Serbian U20 national team back in 2010.

Former international guard Maja Miljkovic (175-88, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Romania) helped CSM Targoviste win their game against the closely-ranked Satu Mare (21-5) 55-47 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Tuesday. Miljkovic scored 10 points in 29 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CSM Targoviste (24-2) is placed second in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's 18th consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Miljkovic has averaged so far 5.8ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.7apg and 1.1spg in the 21 games. She used to play for the Serbian national team two years ago.

   #10. Guard Nikolina Nikolic (178-91, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL was not able to help Haskovo 2012 (10-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Nikolic's very good performance Haskovo 2012 was crushed 91-65 in Ruse by the second-ranked Dunav 8806. She was the top scorer with 22 points. Nikolic also added 5 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Nikolic has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.3apg. She is U20 international player who is currently on the Serbian National Team roster.

   #11. Former U20 international power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN, currently plays in Romania) faced previously mentioned Biljana Pesovic in the Romanian Liga Nationala last game. Djokovic, who plays in the Romanian Liga Nationala was not able to secure a victory for the league outsider Brasov (0-5) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Brasov lost 85-94 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#7) Timisoara. Djokovic was the second best scorer with 21 points. She also added 7 rebounds in 34 minutes. Djokovic has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg in the 12 games. She used to play for the Serbian U20 national team six years ago.

   #12. International power forward Ivanka Matic (193-79, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Romania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maja Miljkovic and both played together in the last Romanian Liga Nationala game. Matic managed to help CSM Targoviste in a victory against the closely-ranked Satu Mare 55-47. She scored only 4 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 29 minutes. This year Matic has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg and 6.7rpg in the 19 games. She is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.

   #13. Former international center Zorica Mitov (189-87, currently plays in Romania) helped Craiova win their game against the 13th-ranked Cluj Napoca 64-52 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Sunday. She had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds. Mitov also added 3 assists in 40 minutes. Mitov is currently seventh on the league's list of best rebounders with 8.3rpg. This year she also averages: 12.4ppg, 1.3apg and 1.4spg in the 27 games. Mitov used to play for the Serbian national team five years ago.

   #14. Former international guard Jovana Vukoje (174-86, currently plays in Romania) helped Alba Iulia win their game against the 13th-ranked Cluj Napoca crushing them 79-47 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Friday night. She scored 7 points, grabbed 5 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals. Vukoje has averaged so far 8.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.8spg. She used to play for the Serbian national team back in 2010.

   #15. Former international center Biljana Stjepanovic (189-87, currently plays in Romania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Nina Djokovic and both played together in the last Romanian Liga Nationala game. Stjepanovic couldn't help the league outsider Brasov in their game against Timisoara. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Stjepanovic scored only 2 points in 10 minutes. Her team lost 85-94. Stjepanovic is currently fifth on the league's list of best blockers with 1.2bpg. She also averaged so far 8.4ppg, 8.1rpg and 1.3apg in the 27 games. Stjepanovic used to play for the Serbian national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Ivana Matovic (197-C-83, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Turkey could not help Fenerbahce (3-0) in their last game. Despite her very good performance the first-placed Fenerbahce was crushed 82-56 on the road by the leading UMMC Ekaterinburg in the group B of Euroleague. Matovic was the top scorer with 22 points. She also added 4 rebounds in 37 minutes. Matovic has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 15.4ppg, 5.8rpg and 2.8apg in the 19 games she played so far.

   #2. Tijana Krivacevic (194-F-90, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a Good Angels' victory against the closely-ranked CCC Polkowice (1-2) 66-54 in the Euroleague last Wednesday. Krivacevic scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Good Angels Kosice (2-1) is placed second in group A. Krivacevic's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg. She has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Hungarian.

   #3. Milica Micovic (182-G-84, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) led Ragusa to a victory against the third-ranked S. La Spezia (18-6) 73-61 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Sunday. Micovic scored 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group South. Passalacqua Spedizioni Ragusa (23-1) is placed first. It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Micovic's first season with the team. This year she has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.5spg. Micovic is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Italian.

   #4. Marija Micovic (187-F-82, also represented by Players Group, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division) was not able to help Irpino (10-14) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Micovic's good performance Irpino (#9) was edged 61-59 at home by the higher-ranked Min.Battipaglia (#5) in the South group. She was the second best scorer with 14 points. Micovic also added 9 rebounds and dished 4 assists. The Regular Season already ended. It's Micovic's first season with the team. She has reliable stats this year: 13.2ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.1apg and 1.2spg. Micovic has both Serbian and Italian nationalities.

   #5. Marija Prlja (163-G-87, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in Craiova's victory against the 11th-ranked Targu Mures (8-18) 63-52 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Saturday night's game. Prlja scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, passed 6 assists and added 2 blocks in 37 minutes. SCM CSS Craiova (20-8) is placed fourth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses. The Regular Season already ended. Prlja is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league with 4.2apg. She also averaged so far 11.1ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.7spg in the 26 games.

   #6. Sonja Maric (185-F-85, currently plays in Romania) helped Timisoara win their game against the ninth-ranked Brasov 94-85 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday. Maric scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. She has averaged so far 9.6ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.1spg.

   #7. Vladinka Erak (190-C-84, currently plays in Romania) was not able to secure a victory for Sp.Studentesc in their game against Alexandria in the Romanian Liga Nationala. Erak was the top scorer with 9 points. She also added 4 rebounds in 23 minutes. Her team was crushed by 42 points 88-46. Erak has reliable stats this year: 10.2ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.1spg in the 26 games.

   #8. Ana Vuksic (188-C-81, currently plays in Romania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sonja Maric and both played together in the last Romanian Liga Nationala game. Vuksic managed to help BCM Bega Danzio Timisoara to win against the ninth-ranked Brasov 94-85. She scored only 3 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Vuksic has averaged so far 2.8ppg and 2.7rpg.

   #9. Julijana Kancevic (168-G-86, currently plays in Germany) couldn't help Bad Aibling in their game against TV Saarlouis Royals in the German 2.Bundesliga (12th division). She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Kancevic recorded only 2 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes. Her team was crushed by 29 points 93-64. She has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.5apg in the 12 games.

   #10. Experienced Minja Terzic (188-F/C-79, currently plays in Germany) helped Herner TC edge the closely-ranked Eisvogel Freiburg 100-98 in the German DBBL on Saturday night. Terzic recorded only 3 points. She has reliable stats this season: 10.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg.

Atomeromu KSC Szekszard (A Division) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Serbian international center Sara Krnjic (191-91). She played most recently at Sopron Basket in the A Division. In 27 games she recorded 7.2ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3apg last season. Krnjic helped them to win the League title and the cup. Dynamo Kursk (PBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old Serbian international forward Sonja Petrovic (189-74kg-89, agency: ProDep Management). She played most recently at USK Praha in ZBL league in Czech Republic. In 12 games she was fourth best scorer with 14.1ppg and had 4.8rpg and 2.1apg last season. Sirius Targu Mures (Liga Nationala) signed 22-year old Serbian swingman Andjela Radovic (176-95). She has played for the last two seasons at ZKK Swisslion Vrsac in Serbian 1 ZLS. In 21 games she had 12.4ppg, 3.4rpg, 6.4apg (leader !!!) and 1.7spg last season. Radovic helped them to make it to the semifinals. She was a member of Serbian U20 National Team two years ago.
