Boban
Marjanovic
Former international center Boban Marjanovic (222-C-88, agency: Beo Basket) had a great game in the last round for Mega Vizura and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
The 24-year old center had a double-double of 16 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Metalac (#8, 0-4), Second Stage botton-ranked team 79-68. Mega Vizura maintains the 4th position in Serbian A League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this stage. Mega Vizura will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Marjanovic turned to be Mega Vizura's top player in his first season with the team. Marjanovic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 16.9ppg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 72.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old forward Branko Andjic (201-F-82) of Sloboda Uzice. Andjic impressed basketball fans with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Bad luck as Sloboda Uzice lost that game 62-83 to league's leader Partizan (#1, 4-0). This loss caused Sloboda Uzice to drop to 7th position in the standings. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Sloboda Uzice managed to get this Second Stage. Andjic is one of the most experienced players at Sloboda Uzice and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Stefan Stojacic (194-F-89, agency: Interperformances) of second-ranked Vojvodina. Stojacic scored 13 points. He was a key player of Vojvodina, leading his team to a 73-52 easy win against the lower-ranked Konstantin (#6, 1-4). Vojvodina needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Stojacic has a very solid season. In 22 games in Serbia he scored 11.5ppg. He also has 4.5rpg and FGP: 57.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marko Simonovic (201-F-86) of Crvena Zvezda - 22 points
5. Boris Savovic (210-F-87) of Crvena Zvezda - 16 points and 12 rebounds
6. Radomir Marojevic (207-C-81) of Vojvodina - 14 points and 5 rebounds
7. Davis Bertans (203-SF-92) of Partizan - 23 points and 2 rebounds
8. Terrico White (196-G-90) of Radnicki KG - 22 points and 8 rebounds
9. Rasko Katic (208-C-80) of Crvena Zvezda - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Dejan Musli (213-C-91) of Partizan - 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Todorovic number one in Serbia for round 1 - 10 hours ago
Nemanja Todorovic (205-C/F-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Borac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage). The 25-year old player had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Dynamic BG (#3, 0-1) 75-64. It allowed Borac to consolidate first place in the Serbian KLS. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Borac won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the...   [read more]

Nikola Vujicic gets MVP of the Week award for Serbian 2MLS - 10 hours ago
Montenegrin Nikola Vujicic (185-G-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Jagodina and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 2MLS Player of the Week award for round 26. The 27-year old guard had a double-double of 30 points and twelve rebounds, while his team beat Boljevac (6-20) 93-88. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Jagodina is placed at 12th position in Serbian 2MLS. The season is in a full swing, so it's...   [read more]

KLS Round 1 (Superliga): Mega Leks lose against FMP - 1 day ago
The Second Stage in KLS just started. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Mega Leks (0-1) in Beograd on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by FMP (1-0) 90-70.
