Former international center Boban Marjanovic (222-C-88, agency: Beo Basket) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Mega Vizura, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25. The 24-year old player had a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Tamis (#10, 11-14) 82-81. It allowed Mega Vizura to consolidate first place in the Serbian A League. Mega Vizura have a solid 20-5 record. Marjanovic turned to be Mega Vizura's top player in his first season with the team. Boban Marjanovic has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.3ppg) and averages impressive 1.5bpg and 74.7% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Montenegrin Bojan Bakic (195-SG-83, agency: Interperformances) of Metalac. Bakic had a very good evening with 32 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Metalac lost that game 81-92 to the lower-ranked Smederevo (#11, 10-15). This loss caused Metalac to drop to 4th position in the standings. His team's 15-10 record is not bad at all. Bakic is a newcomer at Metalac, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#5).
Third on the list of top players last round was Andrej Dzakovic of Radnicki Basket (#7). Dzakovic showcased his all-around game by recording 10 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the last round. He was a key player of Radnicki Basket, leading his team to a 82-80 win against Vrsac (13-12). Radnicki Basket needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 12 lost games. Dzakovic has a very solid season. In 25 games in Serbia he scored 4.3ppg.
Other top performing players last week: 4. Dragan Zekovic (210-F/C-87) of Vojvodina - 25 points and 9 rebounds 5. Drasko Radovic (198-F-90) of Borac - 23 points and 5 rebounds 6. The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

After 11 out of 14 rounds played in Superliga, it is known that Partizan, Mega Vizura and Crvena zvezda will play in the playoffs (and Adriatic League next season), while Metalac, Sloboda and Konstantin have no chance to finish among top four teams. Most important game in remaining three rounds will be played today in Novi Sad, where Vojvodina (7-4 record) will host Radnicki (5-6) in key battle for last remaining spot in ABA League and playoffs. Vojvodina have big advantage over Muta Nikolic's team - two wins more and '+15' from their first game in Kragujevac. This means that even if team from Novi Sad lose by less than 15 points today, they will be in better position prior to final two rounds. After today's game, Vojvodina will visit Mega Vizura and host Crvena zvezda Telekom. They could win both games, but they could lose both games, too. On the other hand, Radnicki will have easy game against Sloboda at home in Round 13, but in final round they will visit Partizan in 'Pionir'. Easiest way for Vojvodina to secure fourth position is to win today. Radnicki will have to make at least one miracle in remaining three games - to win in Novi Sad by at least 16 points or to win in 'Pionir' against Partizan. However, even if team from Kragujevac make both of these miracles, it will not be enough for them if Vojvodina win their final two games. Everything could be decided today...
