The Regular Season in B League just ended. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Sixth-ranked Mladost Zemun (13-13) gave a tough game to second ranked Crnokosa (17-9) in Kosjeric on Saturday. Crnokosa managed to secure only three-point victory 96-93. However their fans expected much easier game. Crnokosa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Mladost Zemun's players. 27 personal fouls committed by Mladost Zemun helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Bojan Stanojevic (205-88) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Srdjan Stojanovic chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Nikola Pavlovic responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. Crnokosa maintains second position with 17-9 record having four points less than leader Meridiana NS. Mladost Zemun at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Novi Sad. First ranked host Meridiana NS (21-5) defeated 3rd ranked Napredak A. (14-12) 80-69. Ivan Djurovic notched 20 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and Velibor Buha supported him with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 26 points by Radmilo Mojsilovic did not help to save the game for Napredak A.. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Meridiana NS have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Meridiana NS maintains first position with 21-5 record. Napredak A. at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Morava.
Bottom-ranked Spartak managed to get the third consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked Beovuk 72 in Subotica 85-68. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference proves that Spartak was well-prepared to that game. The best player for the winners was Milan Markovic who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Igor Djukovic produced 18 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spartak have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Plana. Loser Beovuk 72 dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Proleter Naftagas and Zeleznicar.
A very interesting game took place in Velika Plana. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 13th ranked Plana (9-17) to twelfth ranked Radnicki OB (11-15) 74-71 on Saturday evening. Goran Huskic orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Radnicki OB moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Partizan II and Mladost Cacak. Newly promoted Plana keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost.
An interesting game took place in Indjija where higher ranked Morava (14-12) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Zeleznicar (12-14) 78-65 on Saturday. Slobodan Gugleta scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zeleznicar moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Beovuk 72 and Proleter Naftagas. Morava lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with 12 games lost.

In the last two games of round 26 Proleter Naftagas lost to Napredak K. on the opponent's court 81-87. Partizan II unfortunately lost to Mladost Cacak in a home game 72-81.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 40 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds by Milos Jankovic of Mladost Cacak.

Plana - Radnicki OB 71-74

A very interesting game took place in Velika Plana. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 13th ranked Plana (9-17) to twelfth ranked Radnicki OB (11-15) 74-71 on Saturday evening. Plana was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 21-15 charge of Radnicki OB, which allowed them to win the game. They shot 61.5 percent from the field. American center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col. (TX)) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Forward Dragan Boricic (201-77) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Radnicki OB players scored in double figures. Center Nikola Glisovic (209-73) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Miroslav Radic (195-84) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Plana. Radnicki OB moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Partizan II and Mladost Cacak. Newly promoted Plana keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost.

Rather expected game in Krusevac where 7th ranked Proleter Naftagas (12-14) were defeated by fourth ranked Napredak Rubin (16-10) 87-81 on Saturday. Napredak Rubin forced 26 Proleter Naftagas turnovers. Proleter Naftagas were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Vladimir Radmanovac (191-82) scored 19 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Vojkan Milincic (195-87) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Napredak Rubin players scored in double figures. Napredak Rubin's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Center Zoran Majkic (207-78) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Nemanja Subotic (196-84) scored 19 points. Napredak Rubin moved-up to third place. There was a small surprise in Beograd where twelfth ranked Mladost Cacak (11-15) defeated 10th ranked Partizan II (11-15) 81-72 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 47-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mladost Cacak dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Partizan II's 42. They outrebounded Partizan II 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Center Milos Jankovic (203-94) had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 18-of-23 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Strahinja Petkovic (197-92) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. Guard Mladen Djordjevic (187-94) responded with 21 points and 5 assists and Mihajlo Andric (200-94, agency: Beo Basket) scored 17 points. Mladost Cacak have a solid four-game winning streak. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beograd: Crvena Zvezda (#1) and FMP (#3). Crvena Zvezda (9-1) won against visiting FMP (6-4) 77-69. FMP trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 27-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-77 at the end of the game.
