Here is the weekly review of the top performing Serbian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Russian team CSKA Moscow to a victory against the fifth-ranked Unicaja Malaga (6-6) 70-66 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Teodosic scored 13 points and added 5 passes. CSKA Moscow (9-3) is placed first in group E. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. So now every game will be critical. Teodosic is currently fifth on the league's list of best passers. He has very reliable stats this season: 13.2ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.0apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 59.8%(49-82), 3FGP: 37.3% and FT: 88.1%. Teodosic is currently a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Nenad Krstic (212-83, currently plays in VTB United League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milos Teodosic. But that was another game of his team in VTB United League which we would like to mention. Krstic contributed to a CSKA Moscow's victory against the eighth-ranked CEZ Nymburk (5-12) 76-63. He scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 27 minutes. CSKA Moscow (14-3) is placed second in group B. Krstic has relatively good stats this year: 11.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 2FGP: 61.5%(67-109) and FT: 75.4% in the 16 games he played so far. He is in the roster of the Serbian senior national team.

   #3. The Serbian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Stefan Markovic (194-88, currently plays in Spain). Markovic was the major contributor in a Valencia Basket's victory against the closely-ranked G.Canaria 2014 (15-11) 68-56 in the Spanish ACB last Saturday. He scored 12 points, grabbed 5 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 6 balls in 31 minutes. Valencia Basket (16-10) is placed fifth in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Markovic averages: 5.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.9apg, 1.5spg, 3FGP: 23.5% and FT: 75.0% in the 23 games. He is also a member of the Serbian senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB could not help Caja Laboral (20-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance Caja Laboral lost 79-89 on the road to the lower-ranked (#8) FIATC Joventut. Bjelica recorded 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. This year Bjelica has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg and 5.5rpg in the 22 games. He is also Serbian national team player.

Former University international power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) led Azovmash to a victory over one of league's weakest teams DniproAzot (11-28) crushing them 91-70 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Friday. Dragicevic was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 10 rebounds. Azovmash Mariupol (23-14) is placed third in the Superleague. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Dragicevic has reliable stats this season: 10.5ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.9apg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team four years ago.

   #6. Power forward Zoran Erceg (210-85, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Milos Teodosic and both played together in the last Euroleague game. Erceg helped his Russian team CSKA Moscow win their game against the fifth-ranked Unicaja Malaga (6-6) 70-66. He scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 19 minutes. It's Erceg's first season with the team. This year Erceg's overall stats are: 7.6ppg and 3.6rpg in the seven games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

Former University international power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Poland) was not able to help Stelmet ZG (16-9) in their game against Trefl Sopot (17-8) in the Polish TBL, despite his very good performance in Thursday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds in 34 minutes. But the fifth-placed Stelmet ZG lost 68-77 at home to the leading Trefl Sopot in the Places 1-6 group. Borovnjak's stats this year are: 14.4ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.7apg in the 12 games. He used to play for the Serbian university national team four years ago.

   #8. Power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Ukraine) was the main contributor in Halychyna's victory against the eighth-ranked Hoverla (20-18) 76-63 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Wednesday night. He was the best player in that game. Vukosavljevic had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting the same number of rebounds (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 35 minutes. Politekhnika-Halychyna Lviv (23-15) is placed fourth in the Superleague. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Vukosavljevic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 10.4rpg and 1.1apg in the 38 games. Vukosavljevic used to play for the Serbian university national team back in 2007.

   #9. International point guard Nemanja Nedovic (191-91, currently plays in Lithuania) helped Lietuvos rytas win their game against the closely-ranked LSU-Baltai (5-12) crushing them 111-61 in the Lithuanian LKL in Tuesday night's game. He scored 12 points and added 5 passes. Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (7-2) is placed eighth in the LKL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Nedovic's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.9spg. He is also in the roster of the Serbian national team.

Power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for Anadolu Efes (9-3) in their game against Zalgiris (5-7) in the Euroleague, despite his good performance last Thursday. Savanovic scored 11 points in a mere 17 minutes. But Anadolu Efes (#3) lost 71-79 in Kaunas to the lower-ranked (#6) Zalgiris in the group E of Euroleague. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Top 16. This year Savanovic's total stats are: 9.6ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg in the 22 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Serbian National Team roster.

   #11. Former University international forward Nikola Dragovic (206-87, college: UCLA, currently plays in Italy) helped Air Avellino win their game against the league outsider Angelico Biella 77-72 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night. Dragovic was the top player that evening. He scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Dragovic has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.2spg. He used to play for the Serbian university national team two years ago.

   #12. Former international guard Bojan Popovic (191-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) helped Lukoil Academik win their game against the closely-ranked Levski Sofia 98-94 in a derby game in the Bulgarian NBL in Wednesday night's game. Popovic was the top player that evening. He scored 18 points in 28 minutes. Popovic has averaged so far 8.1ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.4spg in the 10 games. He used to play for the Serbian national team back in 2010.

   #13. International center Vladimir Stimac (211-87, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Turkey) couldn't help Banvit BK in their game against Tofas in the Turkish TBL. Stimac scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was defeated 80-73. Stimac belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #5. He has averaged so far 9.1ppg and 7.7rpg. Stimac is also Serbian national team player.

   #14. International power forward Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Turkey) helped Galatasaray win their game against the closely-ranked Mersin crushing them 95-68 in the Turkish TBL in Saturday night's game. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Macvan has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg. He plays currently for the Serbian national team.

   #15. Former University international forward Cedomir Vitkovac (201-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Adriatic League) helped his Montenegrin team Buducnost win their game against the closely-ranked Un.Olimpija 79-75 in the Adriatic League last Saturday. Vitkovac scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 30 minutes. He averaged so far 10.1ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.7apg in the 26 games. Vitkovac used to play for the Serbian university national team six years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Serbian passport but never been selected to any of Serbian national teams:

   #1. Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in VTB United League) was the major contributor in a CSKA Moscow's victory against the eighth-ranked CEZ Nymburk (5-12) 76-63 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. He scored 14 points and added 4 assists in 20 minutes. CSKA Moscow (14-3) is placed second in group B. Micov's team will play only one more game in the VTB United League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Micov averages: 8.3ppg and 2.9rpg in the 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Mladen Pantic (209-C-82, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Levski Sofia to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Spartak Pleven (5-17) 92-85 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Pantic was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 11 rebounds. Levski Sofia (18-4) is placed second in the NBL. Pantic has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.7ppg and 7.7rpg.

   #3. Marko Marinovic (183-PG-83, currently plays in Bulgaria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mladen Pantic. But that was another game of his team in Bulgarian NBL which we would like to mention. Marinovic, who plays in the Bulgarian NBL could not help one of league's weakest teams Levski Sofia (18-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Levski Sofia was defeated 98-94 in a derby game by the leading Lukoil Academik. Marinovic was the top scorer with 24 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists. Marinovic belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #6) and also on the list of best passers (fourth place). This season he has very high stats. Marinovic averages: 16.8ppg, 3.5rpg, 5.4apg and 1.6spg.

   #4. Branko Mirkovic (190-G-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Bulgaria) was the main contributor in a Rilski Sportist's victory against one of league's weakest teams Spartak Pleven (5-17) crushing them 103-77 in the Bulgarian NBL in Wednesday night's game. Mirkovic was the best player in that game. He scored 27 points (!!!) and added 4 assists. Rilski Sportist Samokov (15-7) is placed third in the NBL. Mirkovic belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #7) and also on the list of best passers (third place). This season he has very high stats. Mirkovic averages: 16.6ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.5apg and 1.9spg.

   #5. Vladimir Jankovic (202-F-90, currently plays in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1 was not able to help Panionios (16-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Panionios lost 72-76 on the road to the league outsider (#14) Panelefsiniakos. Jankovic had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds in 33 minutes. Jankovic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Panionios' roster. He is ranked fifth on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 7.1rpg. This year Jankovic also averages: 12.9ppg and 1.8apg in the 19 games. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Greek. Despite Jankovic's Serbian passport, he previously played for the Greek U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Serbian team.

   #6. Experienced Jovo Stanojevic (208-C-77, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to a TED Kolejliler's victory against the 11th-ranked Aliaga 80-76 in the Turkish TBL on Saturday night. Stanojevic was the best player in that game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 11 rebounds. Stanojevic belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #2. This season he has very high stats. Stanojevic averages: 18.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.9apg.

   #7. Vladimir Golubovic (213-C-86, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Antalya in their game against Mersin in the Turkish TBL. Despite his very good performance last Saturday Golubovic recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. It was his first game for Antalya this season. Golubovic is another player who holds two passports: Montenegrin and Serbian.

   #8. Uros Lucic (207-C-83, currently plays in Adriatic League) couldn't help Krka in their game against MZT Skopje in the Adriatic League, despite his very good performance on Saturday night. He was the second best scorer with 13 points in 20 minutes. But his team lost 68-80. Lucic has averaged so far 8.3ppg and 4.0rpg in the 23 games.

   #9. Milko Bjelica (205-F/C-84, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) helped Caja Laboral win their game against one of league's weakest teams Lagun Aro GBC 88-80 in the Spanish ACB on Saturday night. He scored 8 points. Bjelica has averaged so far 5.8ppg and 2.8rpg. He has both Serbian and Montenegrin nationalities.

   #10. Sinisa Tepavcevic (201-F-84, currently plays in Montenegro) helped Teodo Tivat win their game against the 11th-ranked Jedinstvo 96-86 in the Montenegrin 1A last Saturday. Tepavcevic had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 9 assists in 34 minutes. Tepavcevic is currently seventh on the league's list of best passers with 2.8apg. This year he also averages: 10.7ppg and 4.7rpg in the 18 games.

Sammic Iraurgi Saski Baloia (LEB Gold) signed 22-year old Serbian power forward Andrija Simovic (203-95) from Magia Huesca. In 31 LEB Gold games in Spain he had 7.3ppg and 3.9rpg last season. The previous (15-16) season Simovic played at KK Vrsac Swisslion in Serbian KLS where in 25 games he recorded 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg (#5 in the league) and 1.5apg. KK Dynamic BG Beograd (KLS) inked experienced 35-year old former Slovenian international point guard Aleksandar Capin (186-83kg-82). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Serbian passport. Capin played most recently at KK Primorska in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. In 17 games he recorded 7.4ppg, 1.9rpg and 3.9apg last season.
