Serbia U19-South Korea U19 88:79

Serbia outscore South Korea in Klaipeda at the start of the U19 World Championship. The Balkan side started with 88:79 victory in Group A campaign.
South Korea surprised the opponents in the first period with a 20-19 start, but the Serbia managed to take control of the game. They replied with a 24-17 rally in the second period and took 6-point halftime advantage. South Korea scored 21 points in the third and the last stanzas and it was not enough to catch up with the opponents. Serbia posted 23 points in the third quarter and then added 22 points in the last period.
Natasa Kovacevic (187-F-94, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with 25 points and Aleksandra Crvendakic (188-F-96) nailed 18. Kristina Topuzovic (182-G/F-94) collected 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Katarina Vuckovic (191-F/C-94) had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Park Ji Su (188-C-98) answered with 19 points and 13 rebounds in defeat and Kim Minjeong (180-C-94) netted 14. Ku Seul (183-C-94) scored 12, while Kim Sion (173-PF-95) posted 9.

It is actually her comeback to Logrono as she has played here before. Knezevic already started the season at Bornova Becker in Turkish KBSL. Power forward Bojana Stevanovic (180-F/C-96) put on an amazing game in the last round for Sabac, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The 21-year old player was the main contributor (15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Vrsac (#12, 0-2) with 55-point margin 99-44. There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in 1 ZLS. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Spartak (1-1) in Subotica on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Vrbas Medela (1-1) 79-65. The game was mostly controlled by Vrbas Medela. Spartak managed to win fourth quarter 22-20.
