Komarno overcame Nova Ves on the road to take 2-0 lead in the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 22-18 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 4-point victory in overtime. Komarno outrebounded Nova Ves 43-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. American forward Kevin Thompson (205-89, college: Morgan St.) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) responded with 29 points and 8 assists and Serbian power forward Aco Mandic (204-84) scored 24 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Five Komarno and four Nova Ves players scored in double figures.

Inter Bratislava held off Nitra to tie things up in the semifinal. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-73. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Alando Tucker (198-84, college: Wisconsin, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest.
