Nitra trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 20-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-78 at the end of the game. Inter Bratislava forced 20 Nitra turnovers. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American swingman David Noel (199-84, college: N.Carolina) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Slovenian forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Nitra's coach Lubomir Urban tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

Komarno - Nova Ves 93-71 (3-0)

The game was mostly controlled by Komarno. Nova Ves was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a quality performance for the former international center Ondrej Soska (208-78) who led the winners and scored 15 points. American guard Vincent Simpson (185-88, college: Hampton, agency: R.H.Consultancy) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Komarno players scored in double figures. Komarno's coach Frantisek Ron felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian power forward Aco Mandic (204-84) came up with 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Oto Ulman (205-90) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Nova Ves in the defeat.
