We bring you last week's top performances from Slovenians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St., currently plays in Spain). He led Regal FC Barcelona to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Gescrap BB (19-15) crushing them 88-62 in the Spanish ACB in Thursday night's game. Lorbek recorded 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes on the court. Regal FC Barcelona (23-11) is placed third in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Lorbek's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 10.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 2FGP: 56.9%(112-197), 3FGP: 29.2% and FT: 76.2% in the 35 games he played so far. Lorbek played for the Slovenian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international power forward Bostjan Nachbar (207-80, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL. He could not help Brose Baskets Bamberg (26-8) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Nachbar's very good performance the league leader Brose Baskets Bamberg was defeated 98-85 on the road by the lower-ranked Bayern Muenchen (#4). He was the top scorer with 22 points. Nachbar has relatively good stats this season: 13.7ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 37.9% and FT: 82.3%. He played for the Slovenian national team in 2010.

   #3. The Slovenian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Mirza Begic (217-85, currently plays in Spain). Begic contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Blusens Monbus (18-16) 90-75 in the Spanish ACB on Friday night. He recorded 9 points in 15 minutes. Real Madrid (30-4) is placed first in the ACB. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This year Begic's overall stats are: 5.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 56.0%(75-134) and FT: 75.4% in the 35 games. He has a dual citizenship: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian. Former Triglav Kranj starter played for the Slovenian national team two years ago.

Guard Sani Becirovic (196-81, currently plays in Italy) led Banco di Sardegna Sassari to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Cantu (17-13) crushing them 81-58 in the Italian SerieA in Friday night's game. Becirovic scored 11 points and added 3 assists. Banco di Sardegna Sassari (22-8) is placed second in the SerieA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Becirovic's total stats this season are: 9.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.9apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Slovenian and Italian. Becirovic used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2010.

Former international small forward Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Fenerbahce Ulker (24-6) in their game against Karsiyaka (23-7) in the Turkish TBL. He scored 5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 25 minutes. Fenerbahce Ulker was edged 81-78 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#5) Karsiyaka. Preldzic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in Fenerbahce Ulker's roster. Preldzic belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #6 with 4.5apg. This year he also averages: 7.8ppg and 3.4rpg in the 28 games. Preldzic has both Slovenian and Turkish nationalities. He used to play for the Slovenian national team five years ago.

Forward Dragisa Drobnjak (200-77, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Belgium) led Base Oostende to a victory against the closely-ranked Okapi Aalstar (17-11) 84-78 in the Belgian Ethias League on Thursday night. Drobnjak scored 12 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Telenet Oostende (20-8) is placed first in the Ethias League. Drobnjak's total stats this season are: 9.0ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.9apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Slovenian senior team five years ago.

Former international power forward Gasper Vidmar (211-87, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Besiktas (19-11) in their game against Banvit BK (25-5) in the Turkish TBL. Vidmar scored 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 28 minutes. Besiktas lost 74-81 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Banvit BK. They ended the series of six consecutive victories. It's Vidmar's first season with the team. Vidmar is currently fourth on the list of best blockers with 1.0bpg. He also averaged so far 8.5ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.1apg in the 31 games. Vidmar used to play for the Slovenian national team three years ago.

Point guard Aleksandar Capin (186-82, another player represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to a Radnicki KG's victory against the 14th-ranked Vojvodina 85-78 in the Serbian A League last Saturday. He scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Radnicki Kragujevac (13-9) is placed third in Superliga group. The Second Stage already ended. Capin's total stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.1apg. He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2008.

   #9. Former international swingman Zoran Dragic (196-89, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Unicaja Malaga (18-16) in their game against Regal FC Barcelona (23-11) in the Spanish ACB. Dragic recorded 7 points in only 9 minutes. Unicaja Malaga lost 50-57 in Barcelona to the higher-ranked (#3) Regal FC. It was Unicaja Malaga's first loss after four consecutive victories. The Regular Season already ended. This year Dragic's total stats are: 5.5ppg and 2.5rpg in the 28 games. He used to play for the Slovenian national team two years ago.

Small forward Nebojsa Joksimovic (193-81, currently plays in Bosnia) helped Igokea win their game against the second-ranked HKK Siroki WWin (9-1) 69-61 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I last Tuesday. Joksimovic recorded 7 points and added 4 assists in 32 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (9-1) is placed first. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. Joksimovic has averaged so far 6.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.8apg in the 13 games. He is a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Slovenian senior national team.

   #11. Former U16 international center Jusuf Nurkic (212-94, currently plays in Croatia), who plays in the Croatian A1 couldn't help KK Zadar (11-3) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Nurkic's good performance the third-placed KK Zadar was crushed 91-61 in Zagreb by the second-ranked Cedevita in the Places 1-8 group. He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Nurkic has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 4.9rpg. He used to play for the Slovenian U16 national team three years ago.

   #12. Former international power forward Uros Slokar (210-83, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help G.Canaria 2014 in their game against Caja Laboral in the Spanish ACB. Slokar recorded 6 points in 15 minutes. His team was edged 57-56. Slokar has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 3.0rpg in the 26 games. He used to play for the Slovenian national team back in 2011.

Experienced Vlado Ilievski (190-PG-80, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Croatia) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked KK Zadar (11-3) crushing them 91-61 in the Croatian A1 in Wednesday night's game. Ilievski scored 6 points and added 5 passes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-8. KK Cedevita Zagreb (11-3) is placed second. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Ilievski has averaged so far 5.5ppg and 2.5apg. He has a dual citizenship: FYR Macedonian and Slovenian.

   #2. Nejc Strnad (190-PG-83, currently plays in Greece), who plays in the Greek A1 could not help Ikaros (12-14) to beat Panathinaikos (22-4). Strnad cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Ikaros was crushed 88-57 on the road by the second-ranked Panathinaikos. This season Strnad averages just 4.3ppg.

He could not help one of league's weakest teams Banvit (21-9) in their last game.
