Eva Lisec
Talented Eva Lisec (190-C-95) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Athlete Celje and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9 (Second Stage).
The 17-year old center had the game-high 16 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Athlete Celje in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Grosuplje (#3, 16-8) with 55-point margin 103-48. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Athlete Celje maintains the 2nd position in Slovenian SKL. Athlete Celje has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 22-2. Lisec turned to be Athlete Celje's top player in her first season with the team. Lisec has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.7ppg), rebounds (6th best: 7.6rpg) and averages solid 56.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Tina Jakovina (182-F-92) of league's best team Triglav. Jakovina impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she lead Triglav to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Domzale (#6, 5-19) 76-35. Of course Triglav still keep the league's top spot. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 22-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Jakovina is a newcomer at Triglav and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Athlete Celje's star - Bosnia and Herzegovina Marica Gajic (187-C-95). Gajic scored 13 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Athlete Celje, helping her team with a 103-48 easy win against #3 ranked Grosuplje in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Athlete Celje as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 22 victories and only two lost games.. Gajic has a very solid season. In 10 games in Slovenia she scored 11.3ppg. She also has 9.0rpg and FGP: 50.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Masa Pirsic (184-F-86) of Triglav - 10 points and 10 rebounds
5. Viktoriya Pomadina (188-F-91) of Jezica - 18 points and 13 rebounds
6. Ziva Zdolsek (178-G-89) of Triglav - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
