20-year old forward Tjasa Gortnar (183-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Triglav and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed Ilrija (#4, 10-6) with 44-point margin 87-43. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Triglav maintains the 2nd position in Slovenian SKL. They are still close to the very top. Triglav would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-2 record. In the team's last game Gortnar had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Triglav and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Tjasa Gortnar averages just after two games 17.0ppg and 9.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Eva Lisec (190-C-95) of top-ranked Athlete Celje. She is a center in her first season at Athlete Celje. In the last game Lisec recorded impressive 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she lead Athlete Celje to another comfortable win 82-68 over the lower-ranked Domzale (#6, 5-11) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Athlete Celje still keep the league's top spot. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 15-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Lisec is a newcomer at Athlete Celje and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Barbara Skof (180-F-80) of Grosuplje (#3). Skof showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. She was a key player of Grosuplje, leading her team to a 72-68 win against slightly lower-ranked Jezica (#5, 6-11). Grosuplje needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 4 lost games. Skof has a great season in Slovenia. After 16 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.2rpg (3rd best) and assists with 2.9apg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Alina Gjerkes (178-F-94) of Grosuplje - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Helena Boada (174-G-87) of Domzale - 31 points and 2 assists
6. Rebeka Abramovic (172-PG-93) of Athlete Celje - 22 points and 3 assists
7. Ziva Zdolsek (178-G-89) of Triglav - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
