Eva Rupnik
20-year old forward Eva Rupnik (177-F-92) had a very impressive game in the last round for Jezica and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage).
She had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Domzale (#6, 6-15) 65-51. Jezica is placed at 5th position in Slovenian SKL. Jezica is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 14th lost game this season out of 21 games. In the team's last game Rupnik had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Jezica, through which he has constantly improved. Rupnik has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.9ppg), assists (6th best: 3.1apg) and averages solid 2.5spg.

Second best performed player last round was Anita Kastelic (172-G-94) of Grosuplje. She is a guard in her 3rd season at Grosuplje. In the last game Kastelic recorded impressive 15 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course she lead Grosuplje to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Ilrija (#4, 12-9) 76-55. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Places 1-6. Grosuplje consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. Her team's 15-6 record is not bad at all. Kastelic is one of the most experienced players at Grosuplje and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Tjasa Gortnar (183-F-92) of league's second-best Triglav. Gortnar scored 13 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Triglav, leading her team to a 68-53 easy win against #1 ranked Athlete Celje. Triglav is closer and closer to the top of the standings in Places 1-6. They will still need more victories. But 18-3 record is not that bad... Gortnar has a very solid season. In 5 games in Slovenia she scored 20.2ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tadeja Horvat (176-G/F-89) of Odeja KED - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Barbara Skof (180-F-80) of Grosuplje - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Pia Prasnikar (178-PF-97) of Odeja KED - 8 points and 14 rebounds
7. Sabina Ajkic (176-SG-96) of Domzale - 22 points and 8 rebounds
8. Maja Stembergar (173-G-88) of Odeja KED - 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Petra Lumpert (173-G-93) of Jezica - 18 points and 4 rebounds
10. Natasa Vene (188-F/C-84) of Grosuplje - 15 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
