Celje had all five starters in double figures as they beat Triglav 58-46 in the game 1 of 2013 Slovenian Finals. Sanja Orozovic (183-G-90) scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Teja Oblak (171-G-90) added 14 points, Rebeka Abramovic (172-PG-93) collected 12 points and 6 assists, Eva Lisec (190-C-95) grabbed 12 rebounds and Marica Gajic (187-C-95) had 11 rebounds.
It was a miserable shooting night for both teams. Celje shot 33-percent (17-51) from the field and commited 20 turnovers, while Triglav made just 21 of 71 shots from the field (30 percent). Celje scored 11 straight points to take a lead 23-10 late in the first quarter. Triglav answered with a 9-0 run and cut the deficit to 30-32 to the halftime break. Six straight points by Tina Jakovina (182-F-92) gave Triglav an 38-34 lead. At that point, Celje's coach Damir Grgic switched to zone defense, which helped his team to make a crucial run 15-1. Triglav opened the final quarter with 7 straght points and narrow the deficit to 46-49 with 5:32 remaining, but they were held scoreless through the end of the game. Tina Jakovina scored 14 points for Triglav, Ziva Zdolsek (178-G-89) grabbed 11 rebounds and Urska Zibert (174-G-93) picked up 10 rebounds.
