Polzela (11-15) outlasted Elektra (11-15) in overtime by three points 97-94 on Wednesday night. Worth to mention a great performance of Goran Jagodnik who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Elektra's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Polzela moved-up to third place in League. Polzela will face Geoplin Slovan (#4) in Ljubljana in the next round. Elektra will play at home against LTHcast Mercator in Skofja Loka.

In League Un.Olimpija won against Helios on the opponent's court 70-57. Zlatorog managed to outperform Tajfun in a home game 83-74. Maribor Messer lost to undefeated Krka on the road 62-69. Grosuplje defeated Geoplin Slovan on its own court 80-63. LTHcast Mercator was beaten by Rogaska in Rogaska Slatina 75-67.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points and 9 rebounds by Smiljan Pavic of Krka.

Helios - Un.Olimpija 57-70

Rather expected game in Domzale where 6th ranked Helios (1-6) were defeated by third ranked Un.Olimpija (5-2) 70-57 on Wednesday. Un.Olimpija made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Helios were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jaka Blazic (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Dino Muric (200-90) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Un.Olimpija players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (205-87, college: TCU) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian power forward Djordje Majstorovic (209-90) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Helios' coach Zmagoslav Sagadin rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Un.Olimpija moved-up to second place in League. Helios at the other side keep the sixth position with six games lost. Un.Olimpija will face Zlatorog (#4) in Lasko in the next round. Helios will play on the road against Maribor Messer.

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Lasko where fifth ranked Zlatorog (2-5) defeated one of their biggest challengers Tajfun (2-5) 83-74 on Wednesday. Tajfun trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 23-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 74-83 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Samo Udrih (195-79) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and guard Luka Lapornik (195-88) who added 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Zlatorog players scored in double figures. Zlatorog's coach Milos Sporar used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Stanko Sebic (204-84) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Milan Sebic (204-86) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Zlatorog moved-up to fourth place in League. Zlatorog will face league's second-placed Un.Olimpija in Ljubljana in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tajfun will play at home against the league's leader Krka in Novo Mesto.

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Grosuplje (9-17) beat at home second-ranked Geoplin Slovan (11-15) 80-63 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Grosuplje. Geoplin Slovan was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Geoplin Slovan 33-18 including 25 on the defensive glass.
