Natasa Vene
28-year old power forward Natasa Vene (188-F/C-84) had a very impressive game in the last round for Grosuplje and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
She had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Ilrija (#4, 13-12) 69-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Grosuplje maintains the 3rd position in Slovenian SKL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Grosuplje will need more victories to improve their 17-8 record. In the team's last game Vene had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Natasa Vene averages this season 8.6ppg and 6.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Sandra Jevtovic (187-PF-93) of Ilrija. She is Slovenian forward in her first season at Ilrija. In the last game Jevtovic recorded impressive double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Ilrija lost that game 60-69 to slightly higher-ranked Grosuplje (#3, 17-8). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Ilrija still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 13-12 record is not bad at all. Jevtovic is a newcomer at Ilrija and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-PG-93) of league's leader Athlete Celje. Abramovic scored 13 points and passed six assists. She was a key player of Athlete Celje, leading her team to a 79-64 easy win against #2 ranked Triglav. Many experts and fans count Athlete Celje as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 23 victories and only two lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Abramovic has a great season in Slovenia. After 24 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (5th best). She also has 2.8spg and FGP: 54.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Eva Lisec (190-C-95) of Athlete Celje - 11 points and 12 rebounds
5. Masa Pirsic (184-F-86) of Triglav - 11 points and 13 rebounds
6. Marica Gajic (187-C-95) of Athlete Celje - 10 points and 15 rebounds
7. Sara Meden (170-PG-94) of Ilrija - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Bojana Duric (174-G-91) of Triglav - 13 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Viktoriya Pomadina (188-F-91) of Jezica - 10 points and 10 rebounds
10. Barbara Skof (180-F-80) of Grosuplje - 6 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
