Ziva Zdolsek
International guard Ziva Zdolsek (178-G-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Triglav, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Grosuplje (#3, 16-7) with 24-point margin 81-57. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Triglav to take over top position in the Slovenian SKL. Triglav has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 21-2. Zdolsek has many years of experience at Triglav, through which he has constantly improved. Ziva Zdolsek has solid league stats. She leads league in rebounds with 10.4rpg. Zdolsek is in league's top in assists (4th best: 3.4apg) and averages impressive 2.3spg.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old Spanish Helena Boada (174-G-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) of Domzale. Boada had a very good evening with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Domzale lost that game 63-77 to slightly higher-ranked Ilrija (#4, 13-10). Domzale managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. 18 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Domzale managed to get this Second Stage. Boada is a newcomer at Domzale, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.8ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 5.8rpg and 3.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-PG-93, agency: Veracity Sports, LLC) of league's second-best Athlete Celje. Abramovic scored 25 points. She was a key player of Athlete Celje, leading her team to a 99-51 easy win against the lower-ranked Jezica (#5, 7-17). Many experts and fans count Athlete Celje as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 21 victories and only two lost games.. Abramovic has a great season in Slovenia. After 22 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (5th best). She also has 2.6spg and FGP: 53.6%.

Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
