There was a change on the bridge at Hondarribia-Irun. Anne Pena stepped down as the head coach of the team. She was replaced by Aitor Uriondo. Anne Pena took over the team at the start of the season. However Hondarribia-Irun claimed just five wins in 17 LFB games this season. Aitor Uriondo has previously worked with EBA and LEB Bronze teams. It is the first womens team in his coaching career.

The last season Rubene also at Indiana University in Big Ten Conference in the NCAA. But in 24 games she averaged only 1.7ppg and 1.3rpg. As mentioned above she is just out of the college and it is her first season in pro basketball. Rubene was also a member of Latvian international program for some years. She played for Latvian Senior National Team in 2010 and previously for U18 National Team in 2009. Rubene represented Latvia at the European Championships U20 in Liepaja (Latvia) three years ago. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 9 games: 0.9ppg. Rubene has played previously for 47.vsk and SK Riga.

Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca inked 24-year old former Spanish international forward Tamara Abalde (190-F-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas). Abalde also played 5 games in Euroleague where she had 3.2ppg and 1.4rpg. Among other achievements her team made it to the LFB Semifinals in 2009. Abalde received also Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U20 2nd Team award back in 2009. Tamara Abalde was also a member of Spanish international program for some years. Abalde played for Spanish Senior National Team between 2008 and 2012 and previously for U19 National Team in 2007. She represented Spain at the European Championships U20 in Gdynia (Poland) four years ago. Abalde's team won Silver and her stats at that event were 10 games: 12.4ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.6apg, FGP: 58.3%, 3PT: 21.4%, FT: 73.9%.
