Claudia Pop
Toyota Recreativo Conquero Huelva (LFB) landed 24-year old Romanian international forward Claudia Pop (182-89). She played most recently at CSM Targoviste in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 28 games she averaged 6.3ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3spg last season. She helped them to win the cup and make to league final. It was a very successful season in her career as she was selected to Eurobasket.com Romanian League All-Domestic Players Team. Pop also played 8 games in Euroleague where she had 4.1ppg and 2.4rpg.
The previous (11-12) season she played at CSM Satu Mare (Liga Nationala) in Romanian league. In 27 games she had very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.2apg and 1.9spg that season. It was a very successful year in her career as she was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Domestic Player of the Year and selected to 2nd Team.
In 2010-11 season Pop played at Olesa Espanyol (1a). In 11 games she had 6.7ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg.
Among other achievements she received Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Most Improved Player of the Year award back in 2010.
Pop was also a member of Romanian international program for some years. She played for Romanian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2011 and previously for U20 National Team between 2005 and 2009. Pop also represented Romania at the Qualifications to European Championships 2011 three years ago. Her stats at that event were 6 games: 4.0ppg.
Pop has played previously professionally in Italy (Elite V.La Spezia).
Let's have closer look into Her outlook: Claudia is working hard on each practice. She may play both hands.. and she also can play very well under the ring with back. Very nice shot from semi distance. Great stealer of balls. Very talented player, will continue to improve on European scene. Her natural position is 2/3 but she can also play on positions 1 and 4.

LEB Silver newcomer Electro Mercantil Plasencia tabbed 24-year old Canadian-Trinidad and Tobago center Richard Peters (211-122kg-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management). He just graduated from CS Fullerton (NCAA). But in 23 games he averaged only 1.9ppg and 1.7rpg last season. Peters helped them to make it to the semifinals. Chocalates Trapa Palencia (LEB Gold) landed 27-year old Canadian-Jamaican guard Jason Calliste (188-78kg-90, college: Oregon). He played most recently at KW Titans in Canadian NBL. In 25 NBL Canada games he averaged 12.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.8apg last season. The previous (15-16) season Calliste played at Barons Riga in Latvian LBL where in 29 games he had 13.2ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg.
