Sixth-ranked Jopisa Burgos (7-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Argon Uni Girona (13-5) on Saturday. The visitors from Girona managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-73. Argon Uni Girona made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward Allison Feaster-Strong (181-76, college: Harvard, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. American Rachel Allison (185-87, college: Baylor) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Argon Uni Girona maintains third position with 13-5 record having six points less than leader Rivas Ecopolis. Jopisa Burgos at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Argon Uni Girona are looking forward to face Conquero (#9) in Huelva in the next round where they are favorite. Jopisa Burgos will play on the road against Cadi ICG S. in Seu D'urgell and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

They maintain fourth position with 10-8 record. Navarra Pamplona lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. The game in Pamplona supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Perfumerias Avenida (15-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Navarra Pamplona (8-10). Perfumerias Avenida smashed Navarra Pamplona 69-45 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Egle Sulciute who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Perfumerias Avenida have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-3 record having four points less than leader Rivas Ecopolis. Navarra Pamplona lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Perfumerias Avenida will face Gran Canaria (#5) in Las Palmas in the next round. Navarra Pamplona will play at home against Hondarribia-Irun.

In the last two games of round 20 Perfumerias defeated Conquero in Salamanca 85-75. Gran Canaria smashed Caja Rural at home 80-59.

There was no surprise in Huelva where 9th ranked Conquero (5-13) was defeated by second ranked Perfumerias Avenida (15-3) 85-75 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Perfumerias Avenida outrebounded Conquero 35-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Monique Currie (183-83, college: Duke) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian center Marija Rezan (198-89) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American forward Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Lidia Mirchandani (172-76) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Conquero players scored in double figures. Perfumerias Avenida have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-3 record having four points less than leader Rivas Ecopolis. Conquero lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Navarra Pamplona lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Perfumerias Avenida will face Gran Canaria (#5) in Las Palmas in the next round.
