We bring you last week's top performances from Spaniards who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Sancho Lyttle (192-83, college: Houston, currently plays in Turkey). She led Galatasaray to a victory over the tenth-ranked TED Ankara (9-16) crushing them 87-47 in the Turkish TKBL in Monday night's game. Lyttle was MVP of the game. She recorded 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court. Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul (20-3) is placed second in the TKBL. It was her team's tenth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Lyttle is currently fifth on the league's list of most steals with 2.0spg. She also averaged so far 11.5ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 49.8%, 3FGP: 16.7% and FT: 72.1% in the 25 games she played so far. Lyttle has a dual citizenship: Vincentian and Spanish. Ex-EBE Promociones P.D.V. Santa Eulalia player is currently a member of the Spanish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Alba Torrens (188-89, currently plays in Turkey) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sancho Lyttle and both played together in the last Turkish TKBL game. Torrens was the major contributor in Galatasaray's victory against the tenth-ranked TED Ankara (9-16) crushing them 87-47. She recorded 17 points. Torrens has relatively good stats this season: 12.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 30.6% and FT: 75.0%. She played for the Spanish national team in 2011.

   #3. The Spanish player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard Silvia Dominguez (166-87, currently plays in Euroleague). Dominguez managed to help UMMC Ekaterinburg in a victory against the leader Fenerbahce (3-0) crushing them 82-56 in the Euroleague on Sunday night. She recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group A. UMMC Ekaterinburg (3-0) is placed first. So far her team won all three games in the Finals. This year Dominguez averages: 4.2ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 45.5%, 3FGP: 22.9% and FT: 58.3% in the 17 games. She played for the Spanish national team two years ago.

An experienced guard Laia Palau (176-79, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to a CCC Polkowice's victory against the closely-ranked Galatasaray (0-3) 58-51 in the Euroleague in Tuesday night's game. Palau scored 5 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 10 assists. CCC Polkowice (1-2) is placed third in group A. It's Palau's first season with the team. Palau is currently first on the league's list of best passers. Her overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 6.4apg and 1.6spg. Palau is also Spanish national team player.

Former international point guard Nuria Martinez (175-84, currently plays in Turkey) helped Kayseri win their game against the eighth-ranked Ceyhan Bld (11-14) 88-79 in the Turkish TKBL on Saturday night. She recorded 7 points and added 4 assists. Pankup TED Kayseri Kolejspor (18-6) is placed fourth in the TKBL. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Martinez's overall stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg. She used to play for the Spanish national team three years ago.

Guard Cristina Ouvina (174-90, currently plays in Poland) helped Wisla Can-Pak win their game against the closely-ranked Artego Bydgoszcz (16-2) crushing them 90-63 in the Polish PLKK in Wednesday night's game. Ouvina scored 5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. TS Wisla Can-Pack Krakow (14-4) is placed third in the PLKK. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Ouvina's overall stats are: 4.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.6apg and 2.1spg in the 21 games. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Spanish National Team roster.


The list of other players, who all have Spanish passport but never been selected to any of Spanish national teams:

   #1. Natasha Lacy (178-PG-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: UTEP, currently plays in Euroleague) led her Slovakian team Good Angels to a victory against the closely-ranked CCC Polkowice (1-2) 66-54 in the Euroleague last Wednesday. She scored 11 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 26 minutes. Good Angels Kosice (2-1) is placed second in group A. This year Lacy's overall stats are: 8.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.4spg in the 16 games she played so far.

   #2. Laura Garcia (176-G-81, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Union Hainaut (5-18) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Garcia's good performance the bottom-ranked Union Hainaut was edged 74-71 at home by the higher-ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (#9). She scored 13 points and added 4 passes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Garcia's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg.

   #3. Helena Boada (174-G-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian SKL was not able to help Domzale (6-16) in their last game. Despite her very good performance the sixth-placed Domzale was crushed 83-52 on their home court in Domzale by the leading Athlete Celje in the Places 1-6 group. Boada was the top scorer with 20 points. She also added 6 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 5 balls in 35 minutes. It was Domzale's sixth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Boada is the league's top scorer and also on the list of best passers (second place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Boada averages: 24.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.7apg and 4.1spg in the 17 games.

   #4. Experienced Valentina Aragonese (173-F-79, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in Ancona's victory against the 11th-ranked Calabria (5-19) 67-59 in the Italian A2 (12th division) in Sunday night's game. She scored 15 points and had 5 steals. Free Woman Ancona (14-10) is placed sixth in South group. The Regular Season already ended. This season Aragonese has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.7spg. She has a dual citizenship: Chilean and Spanish.

   #5. Lorena Infantes (171-PG-81, also represented by Regeneracom Sports, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Canik Bld (9-16) in their game against Mersin (20-5) in the Turkish TKBL. Infantes recorded 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in 36 minutes. Canik Bld was crushed 87-61 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) Mersin. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. This year Infantes' total stats are: 7.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 5.1apg in the 10 games.

Alcobendas - Sant Adria 53-62 Sant Adria fired past Alcobendas to secure LFB promotion. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alcobendas won third quarter 12-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Laura Pena who helped to win the game recording 13 points. Talented Clara Rodriguez (184-PF-96) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Estudiantes and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com LF2 Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage). The 20-year old power forward had the game-high 12 points adding nine rebounds for Estudiantes in her team's victory, helping them to beat Aros Leon (#3, 1-2) 58-52. Mann Filter Zaragoza (LFB) agreed terms with 32-year old Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-73kg-85, agency: ProDep Management). It is actually her comeback to Zaragoza as she has played here before. Ferrari is a dual citizen owning also Italian passport. She started the season at IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad del Pais Vasco in the LFB. In 19 games she had very impressive stats: 15.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.2apg and 2.5spg this season.
