Justin
Doellman
American forward Justin Doellman (206-F-85) had a very impressive game in the last round for Valencia, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (32 points, six rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Blusens M. (#11, 12-13) 80-74. Valencia maintains the 5th position in Spanish ACB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Valencia will need more victories to improve their 15-10 record. In the team's last game Doellman had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Valencia's top player in his first season with the team. Former Xavier University star has very solid stats this year. Doellman is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.8ppg) and averages impressive 58.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old international power forward Felipe Reyes (206-PF-80) of league's leader Real Madrid. Reyes had a very good evening with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Real Madrid lost that game 83-96 to the lower-ranked CB Canarias (#12, 10-15). Real Madrid managed to keep the same 1st spot in the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 23-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Reyes is one of the most experienced players at Real Madrid and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was center German Gabriel (207-C-80) of Asefa Estudian. (#10). Gabriel scored 27 points. Despite Gabriel's great performance Asefa Estudian. lost 79-88 to the higher-ranked Gescrap BB (#4, 16-9). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Asefa Estudian. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gabriel could help Asefa Estudian. to bring them higher in the standings. Gabriel has a great season in Spain. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.0ppg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Henk Norel (214-C-87) of CAI Zaragoza - 25 points and 3 rebounds
5. Jayson Granger (186-G-89) of Asefa Estudian. - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Albert Oliver (187-PG-78) of FIATC Joventut - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Ante Tomic (217-C-87) of FCB Regal - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Troy DeVries (193-G-82) of Assignia M. - 28 points
9. Nacho Martin (205-F-83) of Blancos de R. - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Krunoslav Simon (197-G/F-85) of Unicaja - 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
