Tremmell
Darden
Real Madrid (ACB) landed 32-year old American swingman Tremmell Darden (194-91kg-81, college: Niagara). He was tested at Zalgiris in Lithuanian LKL league, but left the team earlier this month, but the plans were changed. Darden managed to play in three leagues this year (!!!). In 7 LKL games he averaged 3.9ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.0apg and 1.1spg. He also played 20 games in Euroleague where he had 9.9ppg and 3.9rpg. Darden also played 16 games in VTB United League where he had 8.7ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.4apg. The last season he played at Unicaja Malaga. In 21 games he had 8.0ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.3apg. Darden also played 10 games in Euroleague where he had 8.0ppg and 3.4rpg.
The previous (10-11) season he played at Sluc Nancy (ProA) in French league. In 37 games he was fifth best scorer with impressive 17.0ppg and recorded 6.5rpg, 2.2apg and 1.9spg (in top 5) that season. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Darden also played 8 games in EuroChallenge where he had very remarkable stats: 16.6ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg.
In 2009-10 season he played at Strasbourg IG (ProA) in French league. In 29 games he had 12.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.7apg, 1.4spg and 1.1bpg. Darden also played 6 games in EuroChallenge where he had 13.0ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.0apg, 1.5spg and 1.3bpg.
In 2008-09 season he played at Melbourne South Dragons (NBL) in Australian league. In 38 games he had 11.6ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.7apg. He contributed to his team winning the league title.
Among other achievements Darden received Eurobasket.com Belgian League All-Imports 2nd Team award back in 2008.
He has played also professionally in Turkey (Erdemir), Belgium (Spirou Charleroi and Leuven Bears) and Australia (S.Dragons).
Darden attended Niagara University until 2004 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: Tremmell is an incredible leaper for his size and an crowd-pleaser because of that. Unbelievable in the open court because of his speed and quickness. Has very good one-on-one skills in offense and likes to drive to the hoop. Because of his outside shooting ability (37,3% 3-pointers in his senior year in college), he's difficult to defend. Good ballhandler passer. Cat-quick defender, using his body and hands very well. Has good lateral footspeed and overall quickness. Can play defense on different positions because of that. Superb athlete!.
