Sweden rout Japan in the last day opener of the 2013 University Games. The Scandinavian team posted a 62:50 win to finish on the 17th place.
Sweden opened the game with 16-6 lead and never looked behind after. The European team added 17-15 rally in the second period and led 12 points at the halftime. Japan managed to score the same number of points with the opponents in the second half. Both teams posted 15 points in the third period and ended up with 14 points apiece.
Gustav Sundstrom (197-G-91) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Chris Czerapowicz (201-G-91) nailed 16. Alexander Lindqvist (205-F-91) poured in 8, while Sebastian Norman (206-F-92) added 6. Kengo Nomoto (196-F-92) replied with 16 points in defeat and Taku Bandoh (185-G-92) brought 15. Seiji Ikaruga (185-G-94) netted 7 and Kebin Hareyama (191-F-93) brought 5.

Norrkoping - Sodertalje 72-66 Norrkoping held off Sodertalje to take 2-1 lead. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sodertalje Kings won third quarter 24-17. Boras Basket has signed a two years contract with Head Coach Henrik Svensson . Svensson has spent eight years with Malbas Oresund Malmo. He was BasketEttan South Champion -06, 07 and BasketEttan Champion -06, 12, 13 and 14. 2007-08 he was assistent coach with KFUM Nassjo Basket (Basketettan).
