The Second Stage in Damligan just ended.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Northland (4-2) in Lulea on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Norrkoping Dolphins (4-2) 70-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Northland. It was a key game for the top position in Group 1 as both teams had the same 3-2 record before this meeting. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 40-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Norrkoping Dolphins forced 26 Northland turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Lykendra Johnson (185-89, college: Michigan St.) who scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Elisabeth Egnell (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 23 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Frida Aili (179-88) who recorded 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Northland's coach Mikael Johansson rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of Group 1 leader, which they share with Northland and Solna Vikings.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Telge. Third ranked Solna Vikings faced 4th placed Telge. Guests from Solna (4-2) smashed host Telge (0-6) 71-42. It was a good game for the former international center Katarina Andersson (191-83) who led her team to a victory with 16 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Anna Spyridopoulou contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Solna Vikings' coach Kostas Keramidas felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Gabriella Frykbo (170-94) answered with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Telge. Solna Vikings keep a position of Group 1 leader, which they share with Northland and Norrkoping. Defending champion Telge still closes the standings with six games lost.

The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for Brittany Smart who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was Ashley Key with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals. Mark Basket's coach Frank Alm tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kvarnby maintains second place in Group 2 with 4-2 record having just 0 victories less than leader Norrkoping. Mark Basket at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost.

Udominate's coach Mikael Blomqvist used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Udominate have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group 2 with 5-1 record. Visby Ladies lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with five games lost.

Damligan newcomer KFUM Uppsala inked 23-year old American forward Jalen O'Bannon (185-94). She just graduated from E.Kentucky (NCAA). O'Bannon has played there for the last three years. In 31 games she recorded 14.2ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.7apg, 1.0spg and 1.3bpg last season. She helped them to make it to the final.
