  follow us on Facebook Twitter

We bring you last week's top performances from Swedish players who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Elin Eldebrink
Elin Eldebrink
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Elin Eldebrink (174-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A1. She could not help Cagliari CUS (3-14) in their last game. Despite Eldebrink's very good performance Cagliari CUS was badly defeated 73-56 on the road by the leading Familia Schio. She was the top scorer with 22 points. Eldebrink also added 3 assists in 37 minutes on the court. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Eldebrink is currently ninth on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (second place). She has very reliable stats this year: 13.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.3apg, 2.4spg, 2FGP: 50.4%, 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 69.6% in the 18 games she played so far. Eldebrink is currently a member of the Swedish senior national team.

Binta Drammeh
Binta Drammeh
#2. Second place goes to U20 international forward Binta Drammeh (180-92, currently plays in Germany). She led Don Bosco Bamberg to a victory over the closely-ranked Osnabruck (12-10) crushing them 87-59 in the German DBBL last Saturday. Drammeh was MVP of the game. She recorded 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. DJK Don Bosco Bambergis placed first in the DBBL. Drammeh has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 15.5ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.1apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 33.3%, 3FGP: 30.9% and FT: 78.0%. Drammeh is in the roster of the Swedish U20 national team.

Kadidja Andersson
Kadidja Andersson
#3. The Swedish player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international power forward Kadidja Andersson (185-80, college: Minnesota, currently plays in Hungary). She managed to help MBK Ruzomberok in a victory against the fourth-ranked UNI Gyor (6-8) 74-62 in the Hungarian A Division on Sunday night. Andersson scored 5 points in 21 minutes. MBK Ruzomberok (10-4) is placed third in MEL group. The Second Stage already ended. This year Andersson's overall stats are: 5.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 2FGP: 40.9% in the four games. She is also a member of the Swedish senior national team.

Maryan Gultekin
Maryan Gultekin
#4. Guard Maryan Gultekin (166-90, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL was not able to help Canik Bld (9-16) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Gultekin's good performance Canik Bld was crushed 87-61 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Mersin. She was the second best scorer with 12 points. Gultekin's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Gultekin's total stats this season are: 4.6ppg, 1.1rpg and 1.7apg. She has a dual citizenship: Swedish and Turkish. Gultekin used to play for the Swedish U20 national team back in 2010.
