Burrows
Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-F-85, agency: Warren Sports International) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Starwings, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat BBC Nyon (#8, 4-18) 90-79. Starwings maintains the 7th position in Swiss LNA. Starwings is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-15 record. It's Burrows' second year at Starwings and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Indiana Univ-Purdue Univ.-Ft.Wayne star has very solid stats this year. Burrows is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.9ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 9.5rpg), assists (8th best: 3.5apg) and averages impressive 1.4bpg and 55.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Jackson Capel (191-G-87) of Boncourt. Capel had a very good evening with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Boncourt to edge the higher-ranked Fribourg (#2, 18-5) 81-79. Boncourt's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-14 record. Capel is a newcomer at Boncourt, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ronald Yates (201-F-83) of league's second-best Fribourg. Yates showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Yates' great performance Fribourg lost 79-81 to the lower-ranked Boncourt (#6, 8-14). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Fribourg needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 18 victories and 5 lost games. Yates has a very solid season. In 22 games in Switzerland he scored 13.8ppg. He also has 6.1rpg and FGP: 51.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Justin Dobbins (203-C/F-87) of Starwings - 13 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Edwin Draughan (196-G/F-82) of Fribourg - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Juwann James (198-F/C-87) of Geneve Lions - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Marvin Owens (196-G/F-86) of BBC Nyon - 24 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Shy Ely (194-G/F-87) of Boncourt - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Jonathan Dubas (202-SF-91) of Monthey - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Srdjan Zivkovic (200-G/F-86) of BBC Nyon - 13 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
