Jonathan
Dubas
Naturalized Belgian Jonathan Dubas (202-SF-91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Monthey, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 21-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Starwings (#7, 6-14) with 16-point margin 81-65. Monthey maintains the 4th position in Belgian LNA. Monthey is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-9 record. Dubas has many years of experience at Monthey, through which he has constantly improved. Jonathan Dubas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 7.2rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was 22-year old American Darrius Garrett (205-F/C-90) of league's leader Fribourg. Garrett had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he lead Fribourg to another comfortable win 73-58 over the lower-ranked Neuchatel (#5, 10-10) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Fribourg still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 17 matches. Garrett is a newcomer at Fribourg and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. forward Westher Molteni (199-F-87) of Lugano Tigers (#3). Molteni scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Lugano Tigers, leading his team to a 89-85 win against the lower-ranked SAM Massagno (#9, 4-16). Lugano Tigers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 8 lost games. Molteni has a very solid season. In 12 games in Switzerland he scored 3.1ppg. Westher Molteni has also Swiss passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jules Aw (200-F-86) of Neuchatel - 19 points and 14 rebounds
5. Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) of Geneve Lions - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
6. Justin Rutty (200-F-89) of BBC Nyon - 25 points and 9 rebounds
7. Justin Dobbins (203-C/F-87) of Starwings - 21 points and 10 rebounds
8. Clint Chapman (208-F/C-89) of SAM Massagno - 21 points and 8 rebounds
9. Jaraun Burrows (203-F-85) of Starwings - 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Korvotney Barber (201-F-87) of Lugano Tigers - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
