Jonathan
Dubas
Naturalized Belgian Jonathan Dubas (202-SF-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Monthey, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 21-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed BBC Nyon (#8, 5-21) with 18-point margin 96-78. Monthey maintains the 4th position in Belgian LNA. Monthey is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-12 record. In the team's last game Dubas had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Monthey, through which he has constantly improved. Jonathan Dubas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 7.2rpg) and averages impressive 51.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Senegalese Babacar Toure (205-F/C-85) of league's leader Geneve Lions. Toure had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he lead Geneve Lions to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Boncourt (#6, 10-16) 88-65. Of course Geneve Lions still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 22 matches. Toure is one of the most experienced players at Geneve Lions and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Arizona Reid (196-F-86) of league's second-best Fribourg. Reid got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . He was a key player of Fribourg, leading his team to a 90-87 win against #3 ranked Lugano Tigers in a game of the week. Fribourg needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 20 victories and 6 lost games. Reid has a great season in Switzerland. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.5rpg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Darrius Garrett (205-F/C-90) of Fribourg - 17 points and 18 rebounds
5. Branko Milisavljevic (193-G-76) of Lugano Tigers - 23 points and 10 assists
6. Marvin Owens (196-G/F-86) of BBC Nyon - 25 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Justin Rutty (200-F-89) of BBC Nyon - 21 points and 13 rebounds
8. Thomas Coleman (205-F/C-88) of Neuchatel - 10 points and 16 rebounds
9. Derek Stockalper (196-SG-84) of Lugano Tigers - 24 points and 6 rebounds
10. Roberto Kovac (188-SG-90) of Fribourg - 18 points and 2 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
