There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in LNA.

The game between second ranked Fribourg (18-6) and eighth ranked BBC Nyon (5-19) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Fribourg was defeated by BBC Nyon in a tough game in Nyon 75-83. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-18. But Fribourg won second period 27-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BBC Nyon made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Marvin Owens (196-86, college: Northwood) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Fribourg. BBC Nyon maintains eighth place with 5-19 record. Fribourg lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with six games lost. BBC Nyon are looking forward to face higher ranked Boncourt (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fribourg will play against Monthey (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
LNA top team - Geneve Lions (20-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Starwings (8-17) in Basel 79-50. American point guard Kelvin Parker (183-82, college: NW Missouri St.) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 assists for the winners and Florian Steinmann chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Geneve Lions have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-4 record. Starwings at the other side keep the seventh position with 17 games lost. Geneve Lions will play against Neuchatel (#5) at home in the next round. Starwings will play against Lugano Tigers and hope to get back on the winning track.
