The game between Top Four teams took place in Fribourg. Second ranked host Fribourg (19-6) defeated 4th ranked Monthey (13-12) 79-73. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Monthey won second period 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Fribourg won last quarter 20-15. American swingman Edwin Draughan (196-82, college: Yale) scored 18 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. International Jonathan Dubas (202-91) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Fribourg maintains second position with 19-6 record having just two points less than leader Geneve Lions. Monthey at the other side keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Neuchatel.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Neuchatel. Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Oliver Vogt supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by naturalized Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (206-92) did not help to save the game for Neuchatel. Geneve Lions have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-4 record. Newly promoted Neuchatel dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Monthey.
Third ranked Lugano Tigers (16-9) crushed at home 7th ranked Starwings (8-18) by 32 points 92-60, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. Lugano Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 16-9 record having five points less than leader Geneve Lions. Starwings lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 18 games lost.

In the last game of round 26 BBC Nyon were destroyed by Boncourt on the opponent's court 93-74.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points and 4 steals by Daniel Ferguson of Boncourt.


Boncourt - BBC Nyon 93-74

Rather expected game when 8th ranked BBC Nyon (5-20) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Boncourt (10-15) 93-74 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Boncourt led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Strangely BBC Nyon outrebounded Boncourt 36-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Shy Ely (194-87, college: Evansville, agency: Merit Sports) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Daniel Ferguson (191-85, college: Valdosta St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 23 points and 4 steals (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Four Boncourt players scored in double figures. Boncourt's coach Antoine Petitjean used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Justin Rutty (200-89, college: Quinnipiac) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and Canadian forward Jean-Richard Volcy (203-82, college: N.Michigan) added 22 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Boncourt maintains sixth position with 10-15 record. Loser BBC Nyon keeps the eighth place with 20 games lost.

LNA top team - Geneve Lions (21-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Neuchatel (13-12) 85-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Neuchatel. The game was mostly controlled by Geneve Lions. Neuchatel was better in fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Geneve Lions outrebounded Neuchatel 40-18 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Senegalese power forward Babacar Toure (205-85) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Oliver Vogt (209-80) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by naturalized Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (206-92) did not help to save the game for Neuchatel.
