Geneve Lions - Neuchatel 85-75

Geneve Lions recorded the second straight win over Neuchatel to step closer to the Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Geneve Lions. Neuchatel was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Geneve Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Neuchatel's 34 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Geneve Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Croatian power forward Andrej Stimac (204-79) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. American power forward Juwann James (198-87, college: JMU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Geneve Lions' coach Ivan Rudez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Thomas Coleman (205-88, college: N.Carolina A&T) replied with 17 points and international point guard Steeve Louissaint (190-87) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Neuchatel.

Fribourg - Lugano Tigers 81-76

Fribourg overcame Lugano Tigers to even the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-76. Fribourg dominated on the defensive end, holding Lugano Tigers to just 7 points in second quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) who scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import swingman Edwin Draughan (196-82, college: Yale) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Fribourg players scored in double figures. Fribourg's coach Damien Leyrolles used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Matt Schneiderman (204-81, college: N.Iowa) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian guard Branko Milisavljevic (193-76, agency: Beo Basket) added 20 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests.
