SAV Vacallo Basket is out of championship due to economic reason. The team quit the season with 13-5 record.
In their last game SAV Vacallo Basket overcame BBC Nyon 94:84. BBC Nyon was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 29-12 charge of SAV Vacallo Basket, which allowed them to win the game. SAV Vacallo Basket had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. SAV Vacallo Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by BBC Nyon's players Rickey Gibson (191-G-84, college: Stillman) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Larry O'Bannon (194-G-83, agency: Interperformances, college: Louisville) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Marvin Owens (196-G/F-86, college: Northwood) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Srdjan Zivkovic scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. SAV Vacallo Basket had a solid four-game winning streak, but could not play their next game against Geneve Lions.

BC AKA claim LNB title - May 14, 2013

BC AK Aarau celebrated the LNB title. They swept the title series against Vevey. The decisive victory came on the road 68:71. BC AKA jumped to an early lead. They built a 36:27 halftime advantage. The Aarau team kept their opponents at bay throughout the second half and rolled the victory at the end. Domenico Marcario (180-PG-79) exploded with 29 points for Vevey but could not prevent his team from losing. It was the second champions title for BC AKA in their LNB history.    [read more]
