Cyprus surprise Switzerland in Day 2 of the U20 European Championship in Division B. They posted a 66:57 win for 1-1 record. The Swiss side meanwhile fell at 0-2 record.
Cyprus and Switzerland lost their openers last night and hoped to get the first W in their record. Cyprus won the first period 22:12 and added 17-15 for 12-point lead at the halftime. Switzerland recovered in the second half, but could not catch up with the opponents. Switzerland won the third period 14-11, while both teams scored 16 points each in the last stanza.
Stefanos Iliadis (185-PG-94) paced all the winners with 24 points and Rafael Eleftheriou (200-G-94) followed him with 17 points and 15 boards. Viktoras Ieronymidis (200-G/F-95) collected 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Roberto Alexander Mantovani (200-F-94) added 8 points and 11 boards. Ernest Basic (180-PG-93) finished the game with 15 points in defeat and Christian Affolter (198-SF-93) added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Marco Lehmann (185-SG-93) scored 8, while Dusan Mladjan (198-SG-86, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in with 7.

Vevey win LNB in fifth-game series against BBC Nyon. They won last game with the dominating entire game and final result was 82:55 for Paolo Povia players. They won also Regular Season as they finished 1st with only 3 loses and 18 wins. They will return to LNA after almost ten years of playing in LNB. BBC Nyon drew things level in LNB Finals. They beat Vevey Riviera Basket 69:63 at home court to force the decisive fifth game in the series. Vevey grabbed an early lead. The visitors jumped to a 25:18 advantage after ten minutes. They maintained the lead throughout the second term. Vevey entered the second half up by six points 38:32.
