Fenerbahce Ulker failed to get back on the winning track in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 and lost at home with 85-94 against Israeli champion Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv. Ulker dropped to a 2-8 record in Group F, and looks to be done for this year. Maccabi took a deciding lead in the second quarter and never looked back, sinking 15 three-pointers in the process. Bojan Bogdanovic (203-SG-89) scored 26 points for Fenerbahce, Emir Preldzic (205-SF-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 15, Kaya Peker (207-C/F-80, agency: Court Side) 13 and Bo McCalebb (178-PG-85, college: New Orleans) 12.

Maccabi opened the scoring in the first quarter and took a 0-5 lead before Bogdanovic answered with a jumper. After 5 minutes, Kaya Peker levelled the score at 10-10, added a jumper followed by a triple by Bogdanovic for a 15-10 lead. Tel Aviv closed the gap quickly and took a 19-22 lead in the final minute, but a last second triple by Bogdanovic made it 22-22 at the end of the first quarter.

A triple by David Logan in the second period initiated a 1-11 run for the guests, taking the lead to double digits after 14 minutes: 23-33. A lay-up by Emir Preldzic broke Fener's scoring silence, and a triple by Preldzic closed the gap to 6 points after 17 minutes: 32-38. Maccabi protected the lead after that and sank a triple in the dying seconds for a 40-49 halftime lead.

Bogdanovic and Logan exchanged triples to open the third quarter. Fenerbahce muscled it's way back to 49-54 after 24 minutes, but back to back triples by Maccabi restored the double digit advantage: 46-60. A 0-7 run made it a 15-point game in the final minute of the period, 56-71, but Bogdanovic and Onan kept Fener's hopes of a comeback alive: 60-71.

After another exchange of triples in the beginning of the final period layups by McCalebb closed the gap to 7 points: 69-76 after 24 minutes. Yet another triple by Logan restored Maccabi's 11-point advantage after 37 minutes: 76-87. A triple by Devin Smith in the 38th minute increased the gap to 15 points, 77-92, and sealed the deal. Three baskets in a row by Fenerbahce took the score to 83-92 in the final minute, but is was too little, too late. Maccabi closed ranks and won with 85-94, virtually ending Fenerbahce's hopes of competing for a spot in the playoffs.
