After the 3 games without any win, Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul is eliminated from Euroleague Top-8 stage. Now probably they are focusing the domestic league championship but that does not seem to be easy while Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu is playing almost undefeatable. Despite everything in this organization Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul looked like really great defansive team meanwhile offensive side of basketball seemed very weak. Also they clearly felt their biggest absents Nevriye Yilmaz and Lindsay Whalen who left the team cause of the financial problems.

While Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul is eliminated from Euroleague, unfortunately absents may have been biggest factor of top-eight stage failure. Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul have been feeling absents of some players. At the begging of season Alba Torrens, Fowles and Yilmaz have had injury problems then when they returned the action they could not adapt completely the system and teammates. One of the biggest investments Nevriye Yilmaz who is transfered with big hopes from Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu to Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul, could play only limited minutes untill now. Also Alba Torrens does not meet full of expectations.

After the Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul's elimination from Euro League top-8, Memnun talks about the his teams performance. Memnun says Unfortunately we did not reflect our true potential. We shocked after the first game He adds In the first game we did not make almost any successfully shot. We were really stunned and then second half we stood up again and made great effort on the court. We came back to 24 points deficit but that was not enough to win. After the first game we were really psychologically low. After his analysis he points out his intention to the press I really desire to see Fenerbahce's championship in this tournament. Thats going to be good for Turkish women basketball.
