You are going to read interview with Jure Balazic (204-F-80) who is new signing of Erdemirspor. Ugur Turker : Hello Jure, you played only two seasons in abroad and you are now 32. How did you decide to play in Turkey ? Jure Balazic : I felt that i need new challange. I am more experinced and i think i can handle the difficulties more easily while playing abroad thanks to my experinces.
Ugur Turker : Erdemir ? Jure Balazic : We talked with coach Hakan Demir last year while he was managing Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir but there was no agreement. This year, i felt myself to ready after Erdemirs offer and we reached a deal. Main reason why i will play in Erdemir is Hakan Demir . I was impressed his opinions and approaches. I hope we can help each other to be succesfull.
Ugur Turker : Last season, you played against Banvit with Krka Novo Mesto. That was your one of the most effective game. Was there any offer from different clubs in Turkey ? Jure Balazic : Even if clubs from other county made me an offer, Erdemir was only team i talked in Turkey. As i said, negotiaions was only procedure since i wanted to work with Hakan Demir .
Ugur Turker : Next year, there will be 3 foreing players who Erdemir has already signed on the court as the limit according to TBL Rules. It is possible that you are going to play 33-35 min per game. Are you feel ready yourself for this kind of physical challange. Jure Balazic : We were sharing the minutes in Krka since there were two games in a week and i was playing 25-30 min. I think the players have much more time to rest from weekend to weekend in Turkey and i can adopt this situation easily because these are best year in my carrer as physically. On the other hand, all players want to be on the court. We do not forget that there will be training camp to prepare for next season.
Ugur Turker : Along with minutes, your responsibilty will increase in Erdemir. You will be one of three foreign players and fans, coach, commendators is going to expect from you to do something. Do you think you will meet the expectaions ? Jure Balazic : Even if we were sharing minutes, i was one of the most important players of Krka as well. I am going to try to do my best and fans and coach will be satisfied with my perfermonce.
Ugur Turker : Do you want to say something to Erdemir Fans ? Jure Balazic : I want them to support us. I hope they will create good atmosphere in our home games and help us to be succesfull. I want to show my %100 to be in their hearts.
UT : Thank you Jure, see you again in pre season camp..
