Besiktas Istanbul (BSL) agreed on terms of contract with 44-year old coach Ufuk Sarica. It is actually his comeback to Istanbul as he used to coach here before. Sarica moved there from Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) where he worked this season. He steered them to the cup final. The last season Sarica coached also at Karsiyaka. Karsiyaka - Galatasaray 62-65 Galatasaray escaped with a vital road win over Karsiyaka to force the third game in the series. Karsiyaka was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game.
