More than 2000 spectators at the Kombank Arena welcomed the team and saw a 19:15 lead of the Turkish team in the start of the game. The hosts of EuroBasket 2013 bounced back with a 13-10 rally in the second period and trailed 1 point at the halftime. Turkey improved to 39:30 midway through the third period, but could not win the game. Slovenia reduced to 6 points with 5 minutes to go and then grabbed the victory in the last seconds. Goran Dragic (190-PG-86) top-scored for the winners with 16 points and Jure Balazic (204-F-80) had 9. Gasper Vidmar (211-C/F-87) and Mirza Begic (217-C-85) followed them with 6 points each in a win. We bring you last week's top performances from Turks who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an experienced former international guard Engin Atsur (190-84, agency: BeoBasket). He could not help ALBA Berlin (19-14) in their last game. He was the top scorer with 18 points (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 23 minutes on the court.
It was ALBA Berlin's third consecutive loss in a row.
Atsur's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.

#2. Second place goes to former international power forward Izzet Turkyilmaz (212-90, currently plays in Croatia). Turkyilmaz contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked KK Zagreb (12-14) crushing them 123-96 in the Croatian A1 last Sunday.
He scored 6 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
GKK Sibenik (21-5) is placed first in the A1.
Turkyilmaz's overall stats this season are: 5.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.6apg, 1.5bpg, 2FGP: 63.6%(42-66), 3FGP: 32.4% and FT: 63.6%.
He played for the Turkish national team in 2013.
#3. The Turkish player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Ersan Ilyasova (208-87, currently plays in NBA). Ilyasova contributed to an Atlanta Hawks' victory against the Washington Wizards (49-33) 111-101 in the NBA on Monday night.
He recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes.
The Atlanta Hawks have 43-39 record this season.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Ilyasova has relatively good stats this year: 9.2ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 45.0%, 3FGP: 34.0% and FT: 79.7% in 32 games.
Former Yesilyurt Istanbul starter played for the Turkish national team two years ago.
#4. Center Enes Kanter (211-92, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Oklahoma City Thunder in their game against the Houston Rockets (55-27) in the NBA. He did not have that impressive stats last Sunday.
Kanter recorded only 2 points in 8 minutes on the court.
The Oklahoma City Thunder (47-35) lost 109-113 in Houston to the Rockets.
Kanter has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 13.7ppg and 6.4rpg in 77 games.

#1.Samir Zekiqi (202-F-95, currently plays in Kosovo) was the major contributor in Trepca's victory against one of league's weakest teams Kerasan (2-26) crushing them 108-79 in the Kosovan SuperLeague in Thursday night's game.
He recorded 23 points.
KB Trepca Mitrovice (5-5) is placed third in the SuperLeague.

In 2010 Springfield Armor selected him as fifth overall pick in D-League draft. He attended University of Louisville and it is his seventh season in pro basketball. Smith has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012. Among other achievements he won D-League East Conference championship title in 2012. Smith received also Gatorade D-League All-Defensive 1st Team award back in 2012. He is a very experienced player. Smith has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Smith has played previously professionally in Israel (Maccabi Rishon and Hapoel Holon), Italy (AV Cantu and Verona), New Zealand (Pistons), NBA (Brooklyn Nets) and D-League (Springfield A.). His game is described as:
A powerful combo guard who has great athletic skills and knows how to score. Great personality, he can spend time at the point too, but seems an ideal specimen for the 2 spot at European level.
