The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Galatasaray (#1) and Fenerbahce Ulker (#2). Galatasaray (23-3) won against visiting Fenerbahce Ulker (21-5) 66-53. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Galatasaray's pressure prevailed and they won that period 16-10 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Fenerbahce Ulker's 20. Naturalized American power forward Ersin Dagli (203-81, college: Alabama, agency: Interperformances) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Puerto Rican point guard Carlos Arroyo (188-79, college: FIU, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Galatasaray have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-3 record. Fenerbahce Ulker at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Banvit BK. Galatasaray are looking forward to face Gaziantep (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fenerbahce Ulker will play against Antalya (#15) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

A very close game took place in Erdemir between TED Kolejliler and Erdemir. Seventh ranked TED Kolejliler (14-12) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Erdemir (10-16). TED Kolejliler managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Kirk Penney who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Gerrod Henderson produced 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Newly promoted TED Kolejliler maintains seventh position with 14-12 record. Loser Erdemir keeps the ninth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Gaziantep. TED Kolejliler's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Turk Telekom.
An interesting game took place in Antalya where higher ranked Tofas (11-15) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Antalya (6-20) 73-68. Jordan Theodore orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 4 assists. Tofas' coach Ahmet Caki tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Antalya maintains fifteenth position with 6-20 record. Tofas at the other side keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Antalya's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 26: Gaziantep won against Hacettepe on the opponent's court 95-88. Aliaga unfortunately lost to Karsiyaka in a home game 75-80. Olin Edirne managed to beat Mersin on the road 87-83.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points and 14 rebounds by Ricardo Marsh of Hacettepe.


Hacettepe - Gaziantep 88-95

Very expected game in Ankara where 16th ranked Hacettepe (4-22) was defeated by tenth ranked Gaziantep (10-16) 95-88. It looked good early as Hacettepe took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Gaziantep had a 31-21 second period charge getting the lead and Hacettepe was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 88-95. Gaziantep players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis, agency: FCM) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola, MD) contributed with 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Ricardo Marsh (207-81, college: ODU) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Polat Kaya (197-86) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Hacettepe. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Gaziantep moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Erdemir. Hacettepe lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be league's leader Galatasaray in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hacettepe will play on the road against Banvit BK (#3) in Balikesir.

There was a minor upset in Akdeniz where 12th ranked Mersin (7-18) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Olin Edirne (7-19) 87-83. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 34-22. But Mersin won second period 23-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Mersin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (210-87, college: Radford) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Bulgarian Filip Videnov (196-80, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American point guard David Holston (170-86, college: Chicago St., agency: Priority Sports) replied with 24 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard J.P. Prince (201-87, college: Tennessee) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Mersin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olin Edirne maintains fourteenth position with 7-19 record. Mersin at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Olin Edirne's next round opponent will be higher ranked Besiktas (#6) in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
