There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in TBL.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#4) and Fenerbahce Ulker (#2). Fenerbahce Ulker was defeated at home 86-90 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fenerbahce Ulker. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 25-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Anadolu Efes made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Fenerbahce Ulker helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Joshua Shipp (196-86, college: UCLA) contributed with 17 points for the winners. The former international center Oguz Savas (212-87) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for Fenerbahce Ulker. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Anadolu Efes (21-4) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place. Fenerbahce Ulker at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Anadolu Efes are looking forward to face Gaziantep (#8) at home in the next round. Fenerbahce Ulker will play against Olin Edirne (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
TBL top team - Galatasaray (26-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Hacettepe (5-24) in Ankara 104-69. The former international swingman Cenk Akyol (198-87) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and Ender Arslan chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. The former international center Huseyin Besok (212-75) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Hacettepe's coach Alp Bayramoglu gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixteenth consecutive win for Galatasaray. They maintain first place with 26-3 record. Hacettepe at the other side stay dead last with 24 lost games. Galatasaray will play against Turk Telekom (#14) in Ankara in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Hacettepe will play on the road against Antalya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Bursa between Olin Edirne and Tofas. Fourteenth ranked Olin Edirne (8-20) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Tofas (11-16). Olin Edirne managed to escape with a 2-point win 75-73 on Saturday evening. Alan Voskuil nailed 23 points for the winning side. Chinemelu Elonu came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for Tofas in the defeat. Olin Edirne moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Mersin. Loser Tofas dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost. Olin Edirne will meet at home higher ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tofas will play against Erdemir (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 29: Aliaga was beaten by Gaziantep on the road 84-70. Banvit BK destroyed Antalya on its own court 96-67. TED Kolejliler unfortunately lost to Besiktas in Istanbul 105-110. Mersin managed to beat Turk Telekom at home 89-81.
The most impressive performance of 29th round was 21 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals by J.P. Prince of Mersin.


Tofas - Olin Edirne 73-75

A very close game took place in Bursa between Olin Edirne and Tofas. Fourteenth ranked Olin Edirne (8-20) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Tofas (11-16). Olin Edirne managed to escape with a 2-point win 75-73 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tofas won fourth quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olin Edirne shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) nailed 23 points for the winning side and Bulgarian Filip Videnov (196-80, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Alti Sport) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Can Altintig (195-87) added 19 points respectively for Tofas in the defeat. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Olin Edirne moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Mersin. Loser Tofas dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost. The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Gaziantep's (12-17) home victory over 11th ranked Aliaga (9-20) 84-70 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 50-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gaziantep looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Bulgarian point guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola, MD) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 assists for the winning side and American forward Dylan Page (204-82, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Gaziantep's coach Cem Akdag used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Lionel Chalmers (184-80, college: Xavier) came up with 25 points and the other American import center Torin Francis (210-83, college: Notre Dame) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Aliaga in the defeat. Gaziantep moved-up to eighth place. Aliaga lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 20 games lost. Gaziantep will meet higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aliaga will play against the league's second-placed Banvit BK (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

Banvit BK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Banvit BK had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Banvit BK made 7 blocks. Dominican-American guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) nailed 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American point guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 16 points. Four Banvit BK players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 21-10 charge of Mersin, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard J.P. Prince (201-87, college: Tennessee) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Alex Scales (192-78, college: Oregon) accounted for 17 points and 7 assists. Four Mersin players scored in double figures. Forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American point guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports) added 14 points respectively for Turk Telekom in the defeat. Turk Telekom's coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mersin moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Olin Edirne.
