Fener.Ulker - Anadolu Efes 86-90

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#4) and Fenerbahce Ulker (#2). Fenerbahce Ulker was defeated at home 86-90 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fenerbahce Ulker. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 25-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Anadolu Efes made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Fenerbahce Ulker helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Joshua Shipp (196-86, college: UCLA) contributed with 17 points for the winners. The former international center Oguz Savas (212-87) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and international Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Fenerbahce Ulker. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Anadolu Efes (21-4) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place. Fenerbahce Ulker at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Anadolu Efes are looking forward to face Gaziantep (#8) at home in the next round. Fenerbahce Ulker will play against Olin Edirne (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
