There will be only one (last) round of the Second Stage in TKB2L.

The most exciting game of round 9 in the TKB2L took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-best Orman (21-4) to third ranked Nallihan (18-6) 80-78 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Orman. Orman was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of Nallihan, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 23 Orman turnovers. Strangely Orman outrebounded Nallihan 43-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: Indiana NW) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Burcin Peksenel (-94) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Chasity Melvin (191-76, college: N.Carolina St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Nallihan maintains third place in Group D with 18-6 record having ten points less than leader Cankaya. Newly promoted Orman keeps the second position with four games lost. Nallihan are looking forward to face Asistanbul (#5) in Istanbul in the next round. Orman's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Cankaya.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Dizdar (#4) and Asistanbul (#5). Asistanbul was defeated at home 69-76 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Newly promoted Dizdar maintains fourth place in Group D with 14-13 record. Asistanbul at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Dizdar will play against Tekkekoy (#6) in Samsun in the next round. Asistanbul will play on the road against Nallihan in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Izmir: Izmir BSB (#4) and Balcova (#5). Balcova was crushed at home by 50 points 55-105 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Revaziye Atila stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The best for the losing side was Mukaddis Aksoy with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Izmir BSB maintains fourth place in Group E with 13-12 record. Balcova lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 18 games lost. Izmir BSB will meet at home Burhaniye Bld (#6) in the next round. Balcova will play against Bursa BSB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Bursa BSB at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Edirne's next round opponent will be league's leader Altay Konak in Izmir and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bursa BSB will play at home against Balcova in Izmir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Adana. Second ranked Botas faced 3rd placed Gure. Host Botas (21-4) smashed guests from Balikesir (16-11) 66-45. The best player for the winners was Tilbe Senyurek who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Botas maintains second place in Group F with 21-4 record having six points less than leader Cankaya. Gure lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 11 games lost. Botas will face league's leader Orduspor at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gure will play against 55 Genclik in Samsun.

Other games of round 9 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
In Group D Tekkekoy was crushed by Cankaya in Ankara 139-61.
In Group E Altay Konak smashed Burhaniye Bld at home 97-42.
In Group F Sirince won against 55 Genclik on the opponent's court 68-53. Orduspor outscored Mersin Univ. in a home game 87-64.
The best stats of 9th round was 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks by Candide Ozturk of Cankaya.

Cankaya - Tekkekoy 139-61

There was no surprise in Ankara where 6th ranked Tekkekoy (7-20) was crushed by first ranked Cankaya (25-2) 139-61 on Friday. The game without a history. Cankaya led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Tekkekoy's 48. Cankaya forced 19 Tekkekoy turnovers and outrebounded them 67-26 including a 28-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Tekkekoy's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cankaya made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international center Candide Ozturk (188-89) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Center Ozge Turmus (188-92, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Cankaya players scored in double figures. Cankaya's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Bilgehan Dursun (-90) who recorded 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Aygun Ayyildiz (-93) added 20 points respectively. Cankaya have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group D with 25-2 record. Tekkekoy lost thirteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 20 games lost. Cankaya's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena Orman.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Edirne. Second ranked Edirne faced 3rd placed Bursa BSB. Host Edirne (23-4) defeated guests from Bursa (18-7) 80-64. It looked good early as Bursa BSB took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Edirne had a 21-11 second period charge getting the lead and Bursa BSB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-80. Edirne shot 26 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Bursa BSB only scored five points from the stripe. Edirne forced 20 Bursa BSB turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Bursa BSB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Susan Lester (188-88, college: Butler) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and guard Nebahat Ceylan Emre (172-85) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Edirne players scored in double figures. American center Whitney Jones (183-87, college: Arkansas) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Dilek Bicer (183-83) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Bursa BSB in the defeat. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Adana. Second ranked Botas faced 3rd placed Gure. Host Botas (21-4) smashed guests from Balikesir (16-11) 66-45. Botas dominated on the defensive end, holding Gure to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Gure 52-30 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Tilbe Senyurek (188-95) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Cansu Yetis (168-93) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ebru Unal (-88) who recorded 8 points and 5 rebounds and center Deniz Selin Ekiz (189-89) added 5 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Botas maintains second place in Group F with 21-4 record having six points less than leader Cankaya. Gure lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 11 games lost. Botas will face league's leader Orduspor at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gure will play against 55 Genclik in Samsun.

Rather predictable result when first ranked Orduspor (24-1) outscored at home 5th ranked Mersin Univ. (11-14) 87-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Orduspor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Orduspor forced 19 Mersin Univ. turnovers. The best player for the winners was Canadian power forward Miranda Ayim (191-88, college: Pepperdine) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Melis Talay (-90) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Orduspor's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Ilkay Masa (186-84) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and Senegalese center Rama Ndiaye added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Five Orduspor and four Mersin Univ. players scored in double figures. Orduspor have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group F with 24-1 record. Mersin Univ. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. Orduspor will face league's second-placed Botas in Adana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mersin Univ. will play on the road against Sirince in Hatay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
