The Regular Season in TBL just ended. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games.

Eighth-ranked Tofas (12-18) gave a tough game to third ranked Banvit BK (25-5) in Bursa on Saturday. The visitors from Balikesir managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 1 point. American-Azerbaijani center Charles Davis (205-84, college: Alabama) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian center Kenan Bajramovic (205-81) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Inanc Koc (202-79) with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Banvit BK have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Tofas at the other side keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Gaziantep.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#3) and Besiktas (#6). Anadolu Efes (25-5) smashed visiting Besiktas (19-11) by 16 points 90-74. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Besiktas. International Kerem Gonlum (208-77) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Dusko Savanovic supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Even 23 points and 9 rebounds by Croatian-Swedish forward Damir Markota (209-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) did not help to save the game for Besiktas. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes moved-up to second place, which they share with Banvit BK. Defending champion Besiktas keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Anadolu Efes (25-5) against fifth ranked Karsiyaka (23-7) on Friday night. It was a good game for Anthony Grundy who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Antalya's coach Timucin Meric rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hacettepe (6-24) moved-up to fifteenth place. Antalya lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom.
