VEF Riga adds Brown to their roster, ex Turk Telekom - Jul 31, 2013

Dee Brown
VEF Riga (LBL) added to their roster 29-year old American point guard Dee Brown (185-84kg-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports). He played last season at Turk Telekom in Turkish TBL league. In 30 games he had 14.0ppg, 2.4rpg, 4.9apg (top 2) and 1.2spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Turkish League All-Star Game Three-Point Contest.
The previous (11-12) season Brown played at BancaTercas (Nazionale A) in Italian league. In 32 games he recorded 11.8ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg that season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was named to Italian SerieA All-Star Game.
In 202011 summer he played at Quebradillas (BSN) in Puerto Rican league. In 15 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 3.4rpg and 5.9apg. The most of previous (10-11) season Brown spent at Qingdao Eagles (CBA) in Chinese league. In 31 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 22.2ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.8apg and 2.0spg. He also spent pre-season at the Mavericks in NBA that year.
In 2009-10 season Brown played at Air Avellino (SerieA) in Italy. In 30 games he recorded 14.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 5.2apg and 1.7spg. Great season indeed as he was named to Eurobasket.com Italian SerieA All-Imports Team and 2nd Team.
In 2006 he was drafted by Utah Jazz (NBA) in second round (46th overall). Brown attended University of Illinois and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as he won Israeli Premier League championship title in 2009. Brown was also voted USBWA All-NCAA District V Player of the Year and USBWA All-NCAA 2nd Team back in 2006 at his college time. Brown represented USA at the Dell College Three Point Championships seven years ago.
He has played also professionally in NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards), Israel (Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv).

Newly promoted Tofas Bursa (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old Cameroonian ex-international power forward Kenny Kadji (211-110kg-88, college: Miami, FL) from Trabzonspor. In 28 BSL games in Turkey he recorded very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.3bpg this season. Kadji also played earlier that season for Lietuvos rytas in Lithuanian LKL where in three BSL games he averaged 3.7ppg, 1.0rpg and 1.3apg.
