American center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-C-86, agency: LBM Management) had a great game in the last round for TED Ankara, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Edremit (#14, 1-23) 82-77. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. TED Ankara is placed at 10th position in Turkish TKBL. TED Ankara is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-15 record. Walker turned to be TED Ankara's top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Pittsburgh star has very solid stats this year. Walker is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.7ppg) and averages impressive 53.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Erlana Larkins (185-F-86) of Mersin. Larkins had a very good evening with a double-double of 13 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Mersin to edge the lower-ranked Botas (#9, 10-14) 79-77. Mersin's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 19-5 record is not bad at all. Larkins is a newcomer at Mersin, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jolene Anderson (175-SG-86) of Antakya (#7). Anderson showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. She was a key player of Antakya, leading her team to a 91-52 easy win against the lower-ranked Besiktas (#12, 6-18). Antakya needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 12 lost games. Anderson has a very solid season. In 24 games in Turkey she scored 15.5ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Cheryl Ford (191-F/C-81) of Canik Bld - 22 points and 17 rebounds
5. LaToya Sanders (191-PF-86) of Kayseri - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Kayla Pedersen (193-F-89) of Ceyhan Bld - 14 points and 10 rebounds
7. Delisha Milton-Jones (186-PF-74) of Tarsus Bld - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-C-87) of Fenerbahce - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Milka Bjelica (193-F-81) of Besiktas - 11 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Evanthia Maltsi (180-F-78) of Kayseri - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
