Budivelnik has poor financial situation as the players do not get paid for about 2 months already. It is not how the team should treat the players in their top season. Budivelnik is actually showing their best season so far as they reached the Semifinals of EuroCup. Last night Uxue Bilbao however made a huge step towards EuroCup Finals. They overcame Budivelnyk in Kyiv in the first semifinal clash of the two-game series. Lamont Hamilton provided 26 points and 8 rebounds to pace the Basque team.

The game was mostly controlled by Ferro-ZNTU. Halychyna managed to win third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Azovmash tied Superleague Finals at 1-1. Budivelnyk trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 23-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-77 at the end of the game. Azovmash made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Beo Basket) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists during the contest. But Ferro-ZNTU shifted the gear in the second period. The visitors unloaded 28 points to gain a 9-point halftime lead. Ferro-ZNTU stayed aggressive offensively in the second half. They sank 25 points in the third quarter to build a 12-point lead before the fourth stanza. Halychyna managed just 7 points in the fourth quarter as Ferro-ZNTU sealed the victory at the end. Jeremy Chappell (191-G-87, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: Robert Morris) provided 20 points and 6 boards, while Alexander Rybalko (190-G-79) connected for 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the victory. Andriy Novikov (200-F-89) and Vitaliy Bliznyuk (206-C-79) finished successful season in Belarus. Their Grodno-93 lost the Finals to Tsmoki-Minsk and finished second.
Tsmoki-Minsk became the Champions of Belarus! The defending champions swept the Finals series against Grodno-93 3-0 adding 74:66 road win.

Aliaksei Lashkevich (203-PF-78) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Aliaksei Trastsinetski added 14. Pavel Ulyanko netted 11, while Ater Majok and Dzianis Korshuk added 7 apiece. Yuri Kuzminets replied with 20 points in the losing effort and Mastou scored 12. Igor Konuyshenko produced 10 and Korzh had 9. Andriy Novikov averaged 3.5 points per game, while Vitaliy Bliznyuk showed 4.3 points per game.
