We bring you last week's top performances from Ukrainians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former international power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Eurocup). He contributed to a Valencia Basket's victory against the leader Lokomotiv (5-1) 68-63 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. Lishchuk scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group J. Valencia Basket (4-2) is placed second. It's Lishchuk's fourth season with the team. This year he averages: 7.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 2FGP: 61.7%(37-60) and FT: 65.7% in the 13 games he played so far. Lishchuk played for the Ukrainian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U20 international forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91, currently plays in Belarus). He led Svisloch to a victory over the fourth-ranked Rubon (11-16) 84-79 in the Belarusian Premier League last Tuesday. Konate was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 17 rebounds. Konate also added 5 assists and 3 steals. BK Svisloch Osipovichi (12-16) is placed third in Championship group. There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Konate is currently third on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Konate averages: 18.9ppg, 12.1rpg, 1.6apg, 2.7spg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 56.0%. He played for the Ukrainian U20 national team in 2010.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States). Len helped Maryland edge the The University of Alabama (12-6) 58-57 in the NCAA Regional Semifinals on Tuesday night. He had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 13 rebounds. Len also added 5 blocks in 30 minutes. The University of Maryland has 8-10 conference record this season. His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regional Semifinals. And now that game is very crucial. Len has very impressive stats this year: 18.9ppg, 12.1rpg, 1.6apg, 2.7spg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 56.0% in the 15 games. He is also a member of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

Center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, also represented by Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Detroit Pistons (24-49) to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves (26-46). Kravtsov recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Detroit Pistons were crushed 105-82 on the road by the Timberwolves. It's Kravtsov's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 3.2ppg and 1.8rpg. Kravtsov is also Ukrainian national team player.

International point guard Klym Artamonov (183-93, currently plays in Lithuania) helped Siauliai win their game against the eighth-ranked Nevezis (8-10) crushing them 77-48 in the Lithuanian LKL last Saturday. He scored 10 points and added 4 passes in 22 minutes. BC Siauliai (11-7) is placed third in the LKL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Artamonov's overall stats are: 2.9ppg and 1.3apg in the 14 games. He plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

Shooting guard Sergii Gladyr (196-88, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's victory against the closely-ranked Blancos de Rueda (11-16) 84-74 in the Spanish ACB on Saturday night. Gladyr scored 14 points. Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada (9-18) is placed 15th in the ACB. Gladyr's total stats this season are: 9.8ppg and 2.5rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

U20 international center Oleksandr Kushnirov (208-92, currently plays in Lithuania), who plays in the Lithuanian LKL was not able to help the league outsider Naglis Palangos (0-20) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Kushnirov's good performance the bottom-ranked Naglis Palangos was crushed 111-65 at home by the one of league's weakest teams Sakalai (#11). He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Kushnirov's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Kushnirov's total stats this season are: 7.2ppg and 5.6rpg. He is also Ukrainian U20 national team player.

Guard Steven Burtt (185-84, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, college: Iona, currently plays in Russia) helped Avtodor win their game against the closely-ranked AltajBasket (13-13) 64-52 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Monday night. Burtt scored 11 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 36 minutes. Avtodor Saratov (14-12) is placed eighth in the Superleague. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Burtt has very impressive stats this year: 16.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.4apg and 1.6spg in the five games. He is a naturalized American. Burtt plays currently for the Ukrainian national team. He used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

Former international point guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) helped Volgograd win their game against the closely-ranked Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (9-17) 78-73 in the Russian Superleague (second division) in Monday night's game. Boyko scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd (9-16) is placed 11th in the Superleague. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Boyko is currently fourth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (seventh place). This season he has very high stats. Boyko averages: 15.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.1apg and 1.5spg. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team seven years ago.

   #10. Center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vitaly Boyko and both played together in the last Russian Superleague game. Berhin helped Volgograd win their game against the closely-ranked Planeta-Universitet Ukhta (9-17) 78-73. He scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 20 minutes. This year Berhin's total stats are: 9.2ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.3apg in the 22 games. He is a former U20 international player as eight years ago he still played for the Ukrainian national team.

   #11. An experienced former University international guard Pavel Agapov (198-79, currently plays in Russia) managed to help Ataman Rostov in a victory against the tenth-ranked Ryazan 66-62 in the Russian Superleague (second division) in Saturday night's game. Agapov recorded only 2 points in 13 minutes. Agapov has averaged so far 5.7ppg and 2.9rpg in the 23 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team ten years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Turiba (10-20) crushing them 106-77 in the Latvian LBL in Thursday night's game. Sirsnins scored 6 points and added 7 assists in 27 minutes. BK Jekabpils (19-11) is placed first in the LBL. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Sirsnins is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (first place). He has very reliable stats this year: 14.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 6.1apg and 1.5spg in the 19 games he played so far.

   #2. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel) contributed to a 2-point Elitzur Yavne's victory against the closely-ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (14-9) 69-67 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Thursday night. Nesterenko scored 6 points. Elitzur Yavne (15-8) is placed fourth in the National League. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Nesterenko has relatively good stats this season: 11.0ppg and 5.9rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian passport, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys (LKL) tabbed 25-year old Ukrainian international forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-102kg-92). He played most recently at Quimper UJAP in French ProB. In 41 games he averaged 12.2ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.1apg and 1.1bpg last season. Bobrov helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Croatia - Ukraine 79:74 Croatia won Opatija home tournament beating Ukraine 79-74. Both teams stayed close to each other, Croatia won the first period 18-17, but then Ukraine replied with a 22-16 run. The third period was decisive in the game as Croatia needed a 24-15 surge to seal the win. Bipa Basket Odessa strengthened their roster with addition of 23 years old American swingman Tanksley Efianayi(198-G/F-94, agency: AproK Sports Group) for upcoming season.This year Efianayi graduated from University of Central Florida (NCAA).
