Budivelnyk prevailed against Hoverla for the second straight win in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Hoverla was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Budivelnyk looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hoverla's players. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian Rihards Kuksiks (197-88, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Halychyna shocked Khimik heading back home with a 2-0 cushion in the series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-16. But Khimik won second period 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halychyna looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ivan Shkurupiy (200-82) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) responded with 13 points and 6 assists and Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (196-87) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Khimik's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

Azovmash got the best out of two home games to secure 2-0 lead against BC Donetsk. BC Donetsk trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 24-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-82 at the end of the game. Strangely BC Donetsk outrebounded Azovmash 39-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Beo Basket) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Azovmash players scored in double figures. Azovmash's coach Sergei Zavalin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Trinidad and Tobago center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds.

BK Khimik-OPZ Yuhzny (Superleague) signed 30-year old forward Vitali Malchevskiy (203-98kg-87). It is actually his comeback to Yuzhny as he has played here before. Malchevskiy played last season at Zaporizhya in Ukrainian Superleague. In 8 games he had very impressive stats: 15.4ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.4spg. Al Shamal Doha (D1) added to their roster 32-year old Ukrainian international center Oleksiy Pecherov (213-106kg-85). He played last summer at Sagesse in Lebanese Pepsi LBL, but left the team in March. In 5 games he recorded 12.8ppg, 8.2rpg and 1.0bpg in 2016 season. The last season Pecherov was tested by the Nuggets in NBA. In 2006 he was drafted by Washington Wizards (NBA) in first round (18th overall).
